Sampling is fine as long as the other party is notified. Claiming that you own music when you don't however isn't fine. The problem with this situation is that Universal is a major company and there's probably not going to be a way for After the Smoke to get the rights back to their song unless they sue Universal. I guess Yelawolf could talk to somebody and hopefully they will but if they don't then its gonna be a lawsuit.

I personally do not have a problem with sampling; and yeah, credit where credit's due, but this issue really annoys me. You're right, these media companies that are so strong arm in their ambitions to get copywright re-RECOGNISED as important, and yet they allow this to happen, and not only that, the originals can't even be put on YT be cause it's an 'infringement'.
