I'm not an Angels fan. I actually hate this team. But what I don't understand is why the name change for this team. First they were the Anaheim Angels. Now they're the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. It makes so sense. I like the Anaheim Angels name better. If they play in Anaheim, they should be named Anaheim Angels. Los Angeles already has a team, the Dodgers.

The only team I like in Anaheim is the Ducks. That's because I'm a big hockey fan. I saw them win the cup vs Ottawa.

The name was changed to The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for better network ratings by the teams new owner in 2005, the city (owner of the stadium) has some kind of contract agreement saying that "Anaheim" must be included in the name of the stadium (Angel Stadium of Anaheim) and the team. I'm sure if this contract didn't exist the team would just be The Los Angeles Angels. Which pisses me off as an Anaheim resident. ALCS Game 6 Today.

Oh and Torii was worth every penny. =)

I'm an Angels fan, but I always dug Torii's game while with the Twins. He's exactly what MLB needs in terms of a role model-type ballplayer. Just shut up and PLAY HARD, lol! Glad they signed him, though I wonder what that's gonna do to Juan Rivera's playing time since Matthews is still around. Guy was putting up legit power numbers up until he broke his leg last offseason.
