Man ive been looking on youtube for like 2 days to learn about longboarding, and seriously, this one vid has more info than like 70 others. Why didnt i look at this in the first place!!
@boushkaa Can't be it. I live in AUS and have the same problem. Female longboarders in general are rare to find. Solution? Find a cool chick and buy her a longboard ;). My board is a Fibretec Freeride drop 1030 running: Paris 195's, a combination of Venom and Sabre bushings, Bones REDS bearings, Venom Tweakers (Wheels), and grip? Viscious.. Of course ;)
@Longboardteen Comet Grease Hammer/ Comet Grease Shark Check my channel to see vids of me skating a hammer if you want to get an idea of what you can do on one of these decks
what kind of board would you recommend for someone just starting out. not sure what i prefer board-wise (ie flex, rigidness, concave….etc) but i surf occasionally if that makes a difference? thanks :) x
@3vans2011 I would recommend an ethos 37. It has a single kick and you can whip it around like a surfboard with the single kick and get a lot more of a surfboard feel. Especially if you get into sliding
@Predator2169 haha whichever you want. im just saying you can even use cruising boards to freeride and DH so i didnt know what you were aiming for. i personally would choose the battle axe though. it looks like buckets of fun
if you want the very best bearings for the price, get Seismic Tektons. Mischo Erban, professional downhill skateboarder and world champion broke the world speed record on a longboard downhill untowed, and he was riding Seismic Tekton bearings and Seismic Speed Vent wheels. also, as for the most reliable downhill trucks, Gunmetal Trucks, Gullwing, Bear, or any precision-cut trucks are going to be amazing. however, precision trucks are far more expensive, so Gunmetal would be my first pick.
86a are suuuper icy wheels for me, they slip around like nothing. in my opinion, you are a good, well learned freerider if you can smoothly ride and slide a very soft wheel with steeze. also, softer wheels are going to be MUCH quiter than loud wheels, especially if the wheel shape is rounded off on the sides (this is called a rounded lip). it'll give you a much easier time breaking traction. ride safe kids!!
i personally wouldn't downhill on Paris trucks (unless maybe a 180mm or wider hangar) or Gullwing Sidewinders (instability). furthermore, i wouldn't use Gunmetal trucks for freestyle because they're so heavy. as for Original trucks, i wouldn't use them at all because they suck and the owner of Original says "f*ck skateboarding, i longboard" and "skateboarding sucks, longboard for life." listen, beginners!! only ride a company's product if they don't hate and because you LOVE it
REALLY I GIVE YOU A KISS I AM FROM PUERTO RICO IF YOU TRAVEL TO HERE I GIVE YOU A TOUR FREE OF CHARGE HERE ARE PLACES TO DO EVERYTHING GIRLS LIKE YOU MAKE ME HAPPY LONGBOARDING 4 LIFE RIDE SAFE WEAR YOUR HELMETS !!!
This video has a lot of misleading information and a lot of things were generalized/sterotyped.
Examples: There are factors such as the core size, depth of the urethane, core placement, shape of the lips, height and contact patch that matter a lot more than durometer, Freeriding isnt a combo of everything it is a combo of Sliding and Downhill, At least a little bit of concave is useful for any type of riding at all, Most importantly LONGBOARDING = SKATEBOARDING
What longboard do u recommend if i only want to cruise with it and carve idnt think ill be doing downhill. Im a beginner... More like never-longboarded-before haha but that its under 150$, i know u said its not a cheap sport but i ran outta money lol ive been looking the pintails from GoldCoast or S9 ehich brand is the best??
Wondefull intro up until the end. Bones bearings are only good as long as you get swiss. chinese bearings are literally all the same with different shields. I read an article that was written by a man who worked in a factory that produced bones bearings. The abec rating also means almost nothing. Unless you plan on putting somewhere around 500 pounds on a longboard it will not affect the bearing. To sum up if you plan on getting bones reds, you may as well get your local shops bearings.
Hi, I've a longboard that's not stable at all! Like, I can't going down a hill with a good velocity with out crashing. I'm seraching for longboards that can be fast and stable in great speed... would you recomend one for me??? thanks
@LongboardUK so im a beginner and i really want a board that's kinda fast, stable, and turns easily. kinda want a longboard for cruising. do you have anything you can recommend?
Hey, I want a longboard for easier transit between classes at my university and have never used a longboard before. I have all winter break to learn, so what size deck and what company do you recomend???
hey if you could possibly answer this i want to start lonboardin as my first time and dint reallly know which complete board i would like to get, i want to carve to bein with then as i progress get a diff one, which board, by sector 9 or original skateboards(pintail) would you recommend it would be greatly appreaciated

Would a loaded bhangra be good for a little bit of everything? I'm just not sure what I want to focus on yet.. But I'm leaning more towards dancing and sliding.. Help please.

@LongboardUK Hello there, I should start saying I love your videos... great... Well i need some advice.. I'm 18 years old and 155 pounds, 71kg. I live in an extremely chaotic city and i LOVE cruising around the city and also i would like to go really fast around it . Just chill around the city, skating and have the time to look around... I want to get a 35" longboard, sector 9. so heres my question... what do you think about it? is it good?

hey im 15 and im bout 120130 pounds and a size 9 shoes..what kind of longboard should i get? im a beginner and i want to do cruising carving and sliding
hey im 17 years old, 180 - 190 pounds and live in the city and i really want to get into longboarding. i already know how to skateboard. what do you recommend?
@LongboardUK hey yeah sorry. i want to cruise mostly because i live in the city but with some basic tricks like the ones in your trick tips videos. so yeahh
Awesome vid, I gotta say. One Q though. The part of the vid where u talked about the size of the wheels and how they pertain to what u want to do on a longboard, which kind of wheels should I get If I want to do a lot of cruising in hilly areas?
@jusbringit watch the video, and decide for yourself! freeride boards include loaded dervish, tan tien, rayne vendetta, kebbek john, bc moray, dk penguin, apex 37, new original FREERIDE board ;D, and some of the landy boards :) look at those :P
I definitely agree with you on who invented longboarding. I mean skateboard can't be considered any form of "sidewalk-surfing" which is what the z-boys called it, but longboarding can. If you look at the first boards they look more like longboards then skateboards, these guys were riding in ditches, and they were carving and cross-steping. It wasn't until guys like Rodney Mullen came around and started doing flip tricks on those boards that they started creating new board, truck, and wheel desi
I realy can't decide on my second board :S I'm constanly stuck between Arbor Axis Bamboo and the Bustin Ibach. I want to do more downhill by now, but also remain on freestyle. The cons are: the Axis has no kicks and the Ibach isn't flexy.
@TheKOks11 downhill doesn't like flexy boards.. but the ibach doesn't have kicks.. i think you may have picked the wrong boards to buy.. maybe look at the arbor assult? or the new john barnet from kebbek is looking sweeetttt ;)
I only recently got a bhangra and I am new to longboarding. Why is it when you watch the ppl longboard on the vids they seem so smooth riding with nice carves while I'm soo scared and shaky a bit. I \'m first trying to do cross step but every time I bring my foot back I start to get unbalanced. Ppl who cross step in the vids get this nice carve while I can't. Any tips?
@MiturBinlsderty PRACTICE! thats the only way you're going to get better! dont push your self, start off with just cruising and getting used to the board. also, try going faster. i know its scary but it helps keep balance :)
@TOBY99GoPrO it should be with you soon! I waited 9 weeks for mine to come. The import tax was annoying.. it was about 20-40 quid if I remember.. nice choice on the longboard! :D

I live in an extremely chaotic city and i LOVE cruising around the city and also i would like to go really fast around it . Just chill around the city, skating and have the time to look around... I want to get a 35" longboard, sector 9. so heres my question... what do you think about it? is it good?
I really like it because its short and goes fast

do you recommend a comet loki board for freeriding, sliding and cruising? like an all around board pretty much:)?

Im new at long boarding. I was wondering what I should get for cruising, here in Texas its all flat land
iAMpinoy000001 5 months ago
also, what are the ranges for the flexes of the different decks, and which flexes are easier in a certain situation, like cruising or doing tricks?
101samb 5 months ago
@101samb *sigh* flexy for flat stable for speed :P

Awesome vid, I gotta say. One Q though. The part of the vid where u talked about the size of the wheels and how they pertain to what u want to do on a longboard, which kind of wheels should I get If I want to do a lot of cruising in hilly areas?
Thx
101samb 5 months ago
@101samb I'd get 80a 75mm wheels :)

hi nice video! can i ask u whether is a globe pulp cruiser 31" counted as a longboard, skateboard or rather both?
cheers!
jusbringit 5 months ago
@jusbringit yep! I'm guessing so.. Its a long skateboard = longboard. Its a cruiser = cruising :)
LongboardUK 5 months ago
@LongboardUK haha alright. what longboard do u recommend for beginners?
jusbringit 5 months ago

Could you help me please? :)
TheKOks11 5 months ago

Any tips?
MiturBinlsderty 5 months ago
@MiturBinlsderty PRACTICE! thats the only way you're going to get better! dont push your self, start off with just cruising and getting used to the board. also, try going faster. i know its scary but it helps keep balance :)

TOBY99GoPrO 6 months ago
@TOBY99GoPrO it should be with you soon! I waited 9 weeks for mine to come. The import tax was annoying.. it was about 20-40 quid if I remember.. nice choice on the longboard! :D
