  • There were a couple cute new interviews, but the rest was just rehashing the first movie! I can't imagine why on Earth they did it, unless the first movie was so tied up in litigation (very possible) that they couldn't release!

In that case i support this DVD!

  • Is that conan lol

  • Leggy Mountbatten - really liked the trousers!

    Brilliant.

  • Barry Wom on drums........

  • @themanfromwem They are all great musicians in real life Neil Innes, Ricky Fataar and John Halsey. Eric Idle only play the piano from what I know.

  • @Melchersson Thank you for the reply. I had the original vinyl in the 70's before the children nicked them !!!! As you say, excellent parody, excellent actors and players, and of course the Bonzo Band that Innes went on to form.

  • BRIAN EPSTEIN UN PALOMO COJO JAJAJAJAJ

  • hahahaahaha conan!!

  • seven nazis dondt like this

  • Trying to place the guy who plays the manager with a limp.......its the Jewish bloke from Life of Brian who says "I'm Brian and so's my wife" at the crucifixion scene.

  • Hate me if you must, but I always liked Blue Suede Shubert better than Boys. I wish they had put more serious lyrics to it. The melody and beat was kick ass!!! Too bad they never did a song, can't buy me lunch.

  • For a while, The Dick Click 6 were hot on the heels of The Rutles in popularity.

  • LMAO this is freaking hilarious. It looks like something Monte Python would do/

  • @Zimnyification

as a matter of fact eric idle and Neil Innes (the actors playing the "john" and "paul" characters) were both in monty python!

  • @WillTWiggins Haha, makes total sense then.

  • "But everybody knew that, um, he didn't really like music."

"So what DID he really like."

    "He loved the trousers."

  • IT WAS THE TROUSERS.

  • Leggy mountbatten hahaha he was asking a sailor for...well never mind what he was asking. He didnt even like music but he liked trousers hahaha GENIUS!

  • I love the Rutles, but this RUTLES 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch is just a bit too much like the original!

However, just getting a glimpse of Barry Womington is awesome!!!!!

  • @DrRobert909 Wait was there a Can't buy me Lunch CD? I know about the original with Please Please Hold my Hand and such. and I found "the Rutles Archeology" with "Rendezvous" (which is like, I get by with a little help from my friends) Am I missing an album? Unfortunately I only have cassettes. Hope to get them on CD or mp3 sometime.

  • I love The Rutles!! I'm a big fan of both and I'm glad George Harrison helped Idle with the idea.

  • ROFL

  • Who were the other two guys that weren't Conan O' Brian

  • @jo366 Graham Nash (from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young) and Garry Shandling.

  • HAHA COCO

  • Stig didn't talk but he certainly could sing.

  • damn their hella ugly no offense to those fans but BEATLES RULE!:P

  • jajja

  • ERIC IDLE! I love Monty Python and the Beatles. So this is hysterical. Like this comments if you love the combination! xD

  • Eric Idle makes this 10x times more hilarious.

  • LOL

  • Eric Idle is epic win.

  • I second that!

  • love 'em

  • THE RUTLES!

  • The greatest band ever... George Harrison lives!

  • Is that Graham Nash?

  • @jonchapple That's him all right. He's ordinarily a serious guy, but I can tell he had a lot of fun doing this. He's great at keeping a straight face.

  • they did sing high....

  • Omg, Conan O'Brien is in this XD

  • @AsukaAnime omg really

    omg okay

  • I always felt the sequel was no where near as funny.

  • haha eric idle

  • "never mind what he was asking the man for ... " HA! God, Idle and those guys were freaking brilliant! What did the Beatles think of the Rutles?

  • What did they think of it?

I believe George Harrison FINANCED the original, didn't he??

  • He didn't just finance it, it was in it! He was interviewing someout outside Apple HQ while people with sneaking out with armfuls of loot.

  • Good call...and wasn't his line, "Who hurt Stig?"

The answer, of course, was 'Big Valerie'.

    Great stuff!!

  • John loved it. Ringo liked some of it. Paul just says no comment

  • During an interview not long ago with Eric Idle and Neil Innes, Eric said that Paul came around when he learned that Eric is a Scouse like him. And also, Eric and Neil went to visit George once and Ringo was there and the two Beatles sang "Ouch!" to them!

  • Eric Idle isn`t Scouse, he`s from South Shields, Tyne and Wear.

  • A HARD DAYS RUT

  • HANG ON...Where's Gwen Taylor's bit?

  • "I was amazed that they could sing in trousers so tight." rofl! I love this.

  • Little did Rikki know back when he was the Beach Boys drummer...

  • Not the original

  • hahaha Conan O'brian is hilarious

  • lol!!!

  • I think Dirk's eyes were so bulged out because of the tightness of his trousers. Leggy loved trousers and we owe hi a great thanks for bringing trousers into modern pop culkture. I don't think I personally would have wore trousers at all if not for Leggy.

  • Leggy was a genious and The Rutles would have been nothing without him. RIP Leggy. The trousers. God bless you.

  • You can just tap the table if you want to reach Leggy...I think he went to Australia. LOL!

  • I think they were legend that lasted a lunchtime....

  • It's true I was at that very bistro for lunch I believe it was June 1965.

  • well they did sing high...LMAO!

  • LMAO

  • it was the trousers

  • baha were is this fromm?

  • Leggy! Love the Rutles!

  • That's nice!
