@DRGK9 I wouldn't recommend the SG for Bonamassa type stuff. It doesn't have the sustain of a Les Paul. And I personally feel the SG's suffer from tuning instability. This would not be the guitar I'd take out to play live. I hope that helps. Best, T

@MrSmiley1964 Out of three I play the Jr. the most. It just has a raw organic tone and openess to it. The SG comes very close to that. The R4 is more compressed mature and smooth. Like a fine aged wine. : ) Best wishes, T

Would love to have this one. Alas this is too much to justify. I am hoping ot get the SG classic in the near future. I think the SG classic is slated to be dropped with the SG classic Faded that has come out.

Do you think there is a difference in tone with the wraparound tail pice? That is one nice guitar.

I kinda like the SG tone better than the LP JR, with that amp. P90's seem livlier, brighter, in a lighter/thinner guitar. I bet a Gretsch Corvette would work great too.

@PRIXIES From my understanding the P90's in the Historics are the sames as in the Classic SG's with P90's. I personally think the Gibson P90's sound GOOD in the SG's. Best of luck! : )

@angrygecko Thanks! I haven't had too many tuning/intonation issues with any of my wraparound tailpieces. It's not 'perfect' but I've yet to find 'perfect' with tune o matic bridges either. Put it this way, I'm VERY picky about tuning and I wouldn't play 'em if the tuning/intonation was a big issue. I hope that helps. Best wishes, T

I enjoy your videos! Great little amp, just one thing... how loud can you get with a clean tone? what number you on volume before it starts to crunch with the p90?

Cool Guitar and amp combination, I had one of those baby swarts a couple years ago. I use p 90's nowadays myself. I like the lollar customs in my lefty collings 290 quite a bit, it is by far my favorite guitar.

Thank you for checking the video out and your English is fine. The SG is a Gibson Custom Shop 60's SG Special. It's not one of the production model Specials. Gibson makes these model names too confusing. It does have 2 P90's and it's a 2006. Best of luck in your SG search. Great guitars! Trina

do you possably have a strat you can run through it, the only videos i can seem to find with strats through it dosent really show the tonal qualities of the amp very well imo, the p-90's are sounding amazing through that btw great vids =)

Thanks! I do prefer P90's and single-coils with the baby Swart, although I do enjoy the R9 thru it too. I just feel humbuckers sound better with bigger speakers. The Jr has more bite and is less compressed sounding than the R4. It's a little more airy and rings out a bit better than the SG. They all have their own personalities and uses. Would you believe that 2 years ago I'd never played a guitar with P90's! LOL Take care, T

Thank you! The 8" speaker does have it's limitations, but it is LOUD! This demo pretty much sounds like it did in the room. If your worried about the speaker also checkout Swart's new Space Tone Reverb Tweed. It has a 12" speaker. I hope to get one in the new year. Take care!

Yeah, that one really caught my eye as well, but I found a used 6v6 for a great deal, so I'm gonna try that first. Hopefully, that's all I'll need. I don't care about the reverb, so if it doesn't work out, maybe I'll just get myself a 1x12 cab for it.
