  • I'm trying to applique fleece onto more fleece, but it's leaving big iron marks, even on a low-heat setting. Is there a better way of putting fleece designs onto a fleece backing? Thanks in advance! :o)

  • do you think that fusable web would be the same thing as Wonder Under

  • @kwinters96 There's a type of heat bond that is not suitable for applique work. Make sure that the fusible web is not a plastic coat on the paper. It will gum up your needle.

  • i am just about to start trying to applique and was wondering if there is a swing machine you would recomend

  • @aussiegirl43 Any sewing machine that has a zig zag stitch will work fine for applique, but my favorite sewing machines are Elna and Bernina.

  • Thanks! It's been 17 years since I've done this in college and I totally forgot! Thanks for the reminder! Now I can do a great preschool bag for my son : )

  • i hav to a storyboard on how to applique

  • Hi ,

thanks for the video its very helpfull :)

that papier that you use Can you tell what it is?

    and where to buy it?

    thanks in advance

  • It is called "Wonder Under" by Pellon. It is sold in fabric stores or you can purchase it online. Just do a google search on wonder under.

  • The adhesive should have been ironed to the fabric first so the shape would only have to be cut once and the shapes would match exactly,

  • The "adhesive" is 1st rough cut close to the trace lines. Once it is ironed onto the fabric, you cut along the trace line. Since it the "adhesive" is now fused to the fabric, they have become one and do "match exactly".

  • Thank you!! I used this tutorial to help me with the little tear drop shaped pattern on the sleeves of Snow White's dress!!

  • What kind of machine is capable of applique? I just have a run-of-the-mill Singer.

  • You can use any brand sewing machine, as long as it has a zig zag stitch.

  • Loved it.

  • Is the wonder under like fusible interfacing? I made a little dress that had flower pedals to applique. The fusible interfacing for the pedals did not won't to stick that well. I followed the directions. Oh, well. Is the sew in interfacing better?

  • Where do you buy this wonderunder? Is it at a craft store and what part, like fabric or other, and how is it packaged? Can you please explain?

  • Wonder Under is sold at fabric store. It comes on a bold and is sold by 1/4 yd. increments. It can also be found prepackaged. Some craft stores may carry it as well.

  • OMG I always wanted to know how to do that. It looks so easy!

  • Thank you for showing me. I have been searching for a long time. Now when I search for embroidery machine and your tube pop up. thanks
