This song has always given me goosebumps.  I watched the film as a child but the song lingers. If you are an arabian horse lover, I think this would be a great sound track for a promotional vid.

I remember this movie being trailered on the telly back in the late 70's which incorperated the chorus from this song. I never saw it and did wonder if it was any good. It was one of the last movies ever to be filmed in Iran as I understand it.

I only use limewire, and I'm sharing that track, so if you do a search on caravans+soundtrack, it should come up I'm oblivious to whether files are still shared when one's computer isn't on, or when one isn't logged onto limewire - I presume not in the first instance, and presume they are in the second instance but Im no comp. geek, so I could be wrong).

If you can't find it next try, just keep trying.

Can anybody tell me where I can get the sheet music for this song. There are many caravan songs on offer but not this one.

Even the chords would be enough but nobody offers them. The same goes for Gallagher and Lyles' "The Runaway"

For years my Father has been talking about this film. It has been he's ultimate in all type of media production. Hearing this song just makes me want to love him more, though I doubt it if thats possible. I hope that who ever hears this music, finds the same love that we do. God Bless.

The music to the film is great (best by the London Philharmonic even now, in original version) but a lousy film sorry to say.

The opening bars of this song are as good as anything you'll hear anywhere.

The film is set in the desert areas of the province of Baluchistan, which borders Pakistan. The Baluch are an Iranian people, related to the Persians, Kurds, Azari's, etc. with their own distinct culture and heritage.

Thank you for posting this video, This is my favorite movie of all time. The critics of the film are not very kind: "They says it's a poor imitation of the Searchers" I really think that this movies stand on its own merits with that unique haunting music by Mike Bratt and also the small intrusion in the life of The Bedouins people.

They are Michael Sarrazin and Jennifer O'Neill. The film also starred Anthony Quinn and Christopher Lee.
