  • The eggs start forming as soon as 3 months when they become more aggressive and dart off!!

  • @ShannyCleaner Eggs can form as early as 5-6 months. There is less of a chance of eggs if you keep the female's temperatures down, feed every other day, and don't let her see any other chameleons.

  • Whe she's looking fuller than that she is gravid. Put her in a laying bin with humid dirt (you choose) and repta lite in a corner!!

  • @ShannyCleaner She was moved into a 2ftx2ftx4ft cage with a laying bin when she was 6 months old. I use a mix of coco fiber and washed playsand. She laid 3 clutches of eggs and died last year. This video is from 2009.

  • What kind of screen / mesh do u use

  • watch?v=4Kxh2wlFz3w

  • i like this video im getting a jackson chameleon or a veiled chameleon for my son.i think u should make a video of your veiled chameleon climbing a whole bunch of stuff

  • im building a cage and wanted to know if i can put all dead plants in there. i dont think they eat itany ways.

  • and you should not feed her that much. you should be feeding her that many crickets about every 3 days

  • It would be better if the temperature is in between 85 and 95.

  • The temperature in the middle is about 21 degrees Celsius and i am using a 75 watt heat bulb at night because its cold where i live, my basking bulb is on a mesh grill which stops the chameleon getting to close, i measure the temperature with a Thermo/Hygro digital meter

  • I have a male veiled chameleon (a year old now) and hes in a 2x2x4' aluminium screen cage, the ambient room temperature is about 19 degrees celsius. I am using an 100 watt bulb at the top of the cage with a UVB obviously and the basking spot temperature is only reaching 33 degrees celsius when he isnt in the way of it.

but i don't know what kind of wattage bulb i should use to increase the ambient temperature and basking spot people keep saying not to use a 150 watt? should i?

  • @matt4ambz Your basking spot is fine but what is the temperature in the rest of the cage? It's probably warmer than room temperature. Are you using a digital thermometer with a probe to measure your temps? How high above your cage is the basking bulb?

  • hey simce u build that were did u buy the materials becuase i want to build one to becuase i also want to get a veiled chameleon

  • @fishrat3 I bought most of the materials from Lowe's/Home Depot

  • @fayeilusiana oh ok thanks because im thinking of getting a bearded dragon or a chinese water dragon

  • How often do baby veiled chameleons eat a day?? Do u know? N how much?

  • @cannabis9420 Baby veiled chameleons usually eat between 10-15 small crickets per day, depending on the size of the crickets.

  • DO BUGS GET OUT OF THAT MESS????

  • @dava4321 Not if you cup feed, which I do.

  • Hey I have a UVB light wit an acryllic cover. Does this block any of the UVB?

  • @kaminari1028 Yes, UVB cannot go through plastic or glass. You would need to remove the cover.

  • wow i would love to know how to build a cage like that!

  • @AnoleDudeRamirez I cannot do a video because the cage is already put together, but I have a walk-through of my larger version of this cage on the chameleon forums :)

  • @fayeilusiana oh yea hahaha guess i didnt think about that opps lol :)...umm what are the chameleon forums?

  • @AnoleDudeRamirez I put the walk through in the info for the video. The chameleon forums is a big chameleon forum. It doesn't let me post links in here, so google chameleon forums :)

  • can you please make a video on how you build the cage? you should call her "may"

  • @budgielover101 Her name is Jasmine :) I cannot do a video because the cage is already put together, but there is a walk-through of my larger version of this cage on the chameleon forums :)

  • Fast forward to 6:05 where I explains how I cup feed because the crickets escape :)

  • what did u feed it?? cuz crickets will jump out of that screening,,,

  • nice setup, imformative video... thanks :)
