probably the biggest lesson you can ever learn is to not get near NPC's when they are killing zombies -__- i was surviving got 28 days i got bored so i went out to go kill some zombies and a npc was surrounded so i went and killed all those zombies and then zombie comes close to me and he shoots the zombie also killing me -__-

@SunStealer001 It currently has infinite. New ones spawn when they die. Eventually zombies won't spawn, they will just migrate from other areas.

Also, while watching your playthrough, I remembered the game's backstory about how the military has enforced a quarantine of the town. Adric has lasted more than a year. That means the in-game government just cut off the town from the world, and then ceased to give any f**ks. They should make a game where you play as the in-game president and try to keep your career alive as long as possible in spite of the nation's mounting outrage.

@stupidrainbo There is currently a limited amount of food and no way to get more. Eating only when you are starving means you need to eat less food to survive longer. I spent a few days figuring out the most efficient way to eat once upon a time. You can learn everything I know in the guide "Adric's Food Guide" on my website pzguides.

@Samurai0316 Something like that. I'm unsure of the exact process. It seems to happen after many months regardless. Maybe it tracks the total amount of time that you have the panic moodle and when it reaches a threshold you start seeing things?

I'd imagine the creators had in mind that perhaps someone who is constantly in fear and panic over the presence of zombies, would eventually crack and start hallucinating that there are always zombies present around them. One can only imagine what it's like for the NPCs to see some crazy guy running around swinging violently at thin air with a baseball bat.

@MsDavid47 Then you die of starvation. It is only a problem right now due to only having one cell. When the map is larger it will happen less frequently. Eventually you will be able to grow your own food as well.

You die by either running outta food, getting eaten, fire, infection from zombies, getting killed by raiders. your always going to die in every game, you can't win it, just survive it. Its only alpha now so they got a LOT more stuff coming.

Awesome play-through, I really learned a lot. Quick question though. The barricade behind the house. I assume it blocks line of sight, but are there any other advantages....or reasons why you stick it there?

@kpooh256 Yes. Any zombies that wander up will start attacking the barricades before the door. You hear the pounding and you can just walk out and wander around, and kill the zombies, as opposed to having to fight them as they come through a door. Much easier.

A good strategy for survival is to find a place, hold out. When the shit comes down, wander like a nomad, boarding up specific places along the way as safehouses. I survived for 4 months, 23 hours. (Succumbed to a disease. DAMN YOU RAW CHICKEN!)

No matter how far below neutral you are for food, eating once will put you to fed, to minimise the amount of food he consumed, he ate only when he was at the point of no return.

@fjrsm It's hard to say. The odds are good that it will remain the same, but the developers have mentioned considering raising the price with the next update or two. If you are planning on playing it ever (and you should) I recommend buying it while it is cheap, since the price will go up eventually.

In the beginning you could have added doors in the fence on front of the safe house and in the end of your backyard. that way you wouldn't need to "clean" your yard so often, maximizing the area of safety.

@EduardoMahlKaerfus I think that would be bad. Doors have a habit of attracting zombies, and it would be more difficult to clean up the places you mentioned. Zombies rarely wander into the yard anyway, but if one started banging on a fence door it would attract a lot more and cause far more problems than it solved.
