I love original Stargate (1994) movie and never was a fan of its TV show (I prefer Babylon 5, Farscape, Earth: Final Conflict, Lexx, The 4400 etc) but being a huge Sci-Fi fan I had to watch this movie. It was interesting to see 2 leading stars from Farscape here - Ben Browder and Claudia Black. They were brilliant. Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Beau Bridges were great too but I still think that they missed a lot of action. Babylon 5 and Farscape made better "supporting" films

if u watch the original doctor who episodes there the same ones that r giving now. so is battlestar galatica. there just remakes of a show that was popular. stargate was a new concept and the stuff in stargate is actually right, i mean the physics and stuff. stargate is the greatest sci-fi show ever! period, the end!

it did..but competition from other programs i.e Battlestar galactica got too much and viewers lost interest..theyre own fault..shudda kept original story line/characters cuz it got borin in the last 3 seasons..u cant jus wipe out the goa'uld and then expect to have the same amount of viewers..it lost that magic touvh it once had..and thats from a die-hard stargate fan

Stargate had alot of viewers around the world, but in the lasts seasons, in other countries such as Canada or France, they started putting the show as random hours, so the majority of the viewers couldn't see it anymore...well that was in my case and the same for my friends.
