I no longer enjoy this game at all. I feel like now when I play my major objective is to postpone my inevitable deaths. I feel like my character is made of paperclips and toenails -_- as I get shred to bits by every weapon fired at me. I don't suck at all but I'm not the best n I can legit say that gow3 needs some serious updates...
the sawed-off doesn't work like this anymore, the retro has serious damage drop off over distance, and the hammy now has no damage drop-off over long distances (same damage up close as across the map). just for anyone's info.
Are all of these times and what not still true? I thought I read or heard somewhere that EPIC patched the Sawed-off. Am I mistaken or did something like this occur? Great videos btw between you and arctic I think I've watched every one. Not sure my Gears gaming has gotten any better but I feel smarter. Kind of like I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

When you were showing the Sawed-off GIB while not in the L trigger reticle, you didn't take in account that when you stop holding the trigger, which you did, your *imaginary* reticle immediately changes, it's almost like taking a step back. So while he wasn't in the line of fire when you were aiming, he definitely was when you stopped aiming.
I actually think the retro has been changed a bit. I counted my shots on a non moving bot and it took 7 shots to down it. Also i have heard the retro does about 90 damage and you have 600 health so idk how you downed in 6 shots

The fact of the matter is, if a Gnasher rusher has to get so close as to risk a DOUBLE-BARRELLED sawed-off shotgun to the face, they're doin' it wrong.
If having a shotgun that has 8 in the clip, dozens in hand and a <2sec reload isn't enough of a crutch for you, I'm afraid you need to look up the word 'tactical' again and get back to waggling your Wii wand.

The 'skill' in the game is MEANT to be the strategy in getting into positions that facilitate the use of a given weapon - sniper/far, bayonet/close.
If your Gnasher bum rush is met head-on with a two-barrel sawed-off, what do you want? A consolation prize?
@Sablicious it takes skill to wallbounce against rifles and actually hit your target effectively , but to wallbounce against a sawed off is not smart at all. If anything the person should be wallbouncing away from them lol. wallbouncing does things for you: avoid being hit easily by your target, avoid being hit easily by your target's friends who will probably be shooting at you from long range, setup shots for you. you should try it some time my friend.
@Sablicious I gladly welcome Sawed Off players into any game. One, I'll keep my Gnasher out, 2 or more and they all get the Lancer and I'll take my 30 downs. It's a simple game of changing playing style and it's a good change of pace from the previous iterations of the game, however I'm finding 30 down games a little more than I want right now.

That was the case with some kids in GoW2. Ridiculously fast wallbouncing but they would only land 1-2 shots out of the 8 in the gun. @arCtiCvBi I'm afraid this video isnt very accurate anymore. They changed the guns a lot since the first month of launch. Lancer is weaker, gnasher range went up, sawed-off range went down, hammerburst damage went up. lol I think you''ll have to make another video.

Don't see the problem with the Sawed-Off. It has NO range. Incredibly Long Reload time. Keep out of it's range and ANY other weapon destroys it. If you can get in close enough to gib 3 opponents with a Sawed-Off they have only got themselves to blame.
they need to just make a extra play list were u cant use the retro or sawed off dont have to tweak the gun or anything just add the play list and ill be happy
So presumably if you ran into a group of 3 people all at close range within that radius you could get 3 kills at once, if that's the case then it's certainly overpowered, however, it's pretty easy to make the person fire too early or sucker them into firing as you roll away. Unless of course you like to blindly run round corners.

OMG sawn off so op!.......no it isnt. you have to be almost point blank to get a kill to the side and you have to be facing the general direction so they cant be behind you or you miss. and someone with a gnasher could one shot you before the sawn off even gets in range+ the sawn off's reload makes it useless so you only have one shot and you cant take on groups of enemies. the gnasher is much easier to use and IMO if anything its more op than the sawn off.

I got it 3 days early, it's great, people are still 2 hit melee-ing, even though the recovery time for melee is non existent, I'd like to see another 3 hit melee down like gears 2 had eventually.

Maybe you should of done the Hammerburst when you're just holding down the trigger. When someone's running across at a pretty far distance I tend to just hold the trigger instead of rapid fire cause the minor kick will throw the aim off a little (this is all from experience when I played the beta).
Also, maybe a 1-2 minute video of the updated Sawed Off after TU1?

The 'skill' in the game is MEANT to be the strategy in getting into positions that facilitate the use of a given weapon - sniper/far, bayonet/close.

@Sablicious it takes skill to wallbounce against rifles and actually hit your target effectively , but to wallbounce against a sawed off is not smart at all. If anything the person should be wallbouncing away from them lol. wallbouncing does things for you: avoid being hit easily by your target, avoid being hit easily by your target's friends who will probably be shooting at you from long range, setup shots for you. you should try it some time my friend.

@Sablicious I gladly welcome Sawed Off players into any game. One, I'll keep my Gnasher out, 2 or more and they all get the Lancer and I'll take my 30 downs. It's a simple game of changing playing style and it's a good change of pace from the previous iterations of the game, however I'm finding 30 down games a little more than I want right now.

@Sablicious Wallbouncing alone is relatively easy but wallboucing effectively takes alot of skill. not everyone is capable of landing shots while sliding around at high speeds. That was the case with some kids in GoW2. Ridiculously fast wallbouncing but they would only land 1-2 shots out of the 8 in the gun. But you wouldn't know that b/c you're probably a CoD fag that bought the first two games, went online expecting to do good in your first game b/c CoD is so easy, and got wrecked by good ppl.

This gun has 10x the spread and 3x the gib range the gnasher has, on top of that it requires absolutely no aim. Because of the SO I have seen teams camp in the same area for the entire match, this isn't CoD camping is no ok. This gun is ridiculous and needs a serious nerf.

in the long run i see alot more lancer usage in mlg and in ranked alot of hb and lancer as well seeing how the blindfire for both weapon is extremly accurate. i strafe people out with lancer now as if im a bot from gow2 lol. i watched mlg and gownation scrims between pros and they all play it like its gow1 or gow2 wit shotty but i dnt see that lasting forever.

I dont mind it. what i do mind however is its ridiculous range. the description of the guns says "zero effectiveness beyond melee range." however ive seen evidence that suggests otherwise. im not saying it should be limited to that small of range either but its gibbing from way too far imo. if they can tweak it a bit ill be happier but i dont expect them to update it less than a week after launch

Don't see the problem with the Sawed-Off. It has NO range. Incredibly Long Reload time. Keep out of it's range and ANY other weapon destroys it. If you can get in close enough to gib 3 opponents with a Sawed-Off they have only got themselves to blame.

So presumably if you ran into a group of 3 people all at close range within that radius you could get 3 kills at once, if that's the case then it's certainly overpowered, however, it's pretty easy to make the person fire too early or sucker them into firing as you roll away. Unless of course you like to blindly run round corners.

OMG sawn off so op!.......no it isnt. you have to be almost point blank to get a kill to the side and you have to be facing the general direction so they cant be behind you or you miss. and someone with a gnasher could one shot you before the sawn off even gets in range+ the sawn off's reload makes it useless so you only have one shot and you cant take on groups of enemies. the gnasher is much easier to use and IMO if anything its more op than the sawn off.

Sawed off can kill 2 people at once due to hits hit range. Slow reload.
Gnasher, can kill 1 enemy in a shot and also has more ammo and shoots/reloads faster.
Overall, the Gnasher is better yes. Sawed off is beast too, it can kill two people in one shot.
Quit the ******** and choose your favorite weapons. (:

Maybe you should of done the Hammerburst when you're just holding down the trigger. When someone's running across at a pretty far distance I tend to just hold the trigger instead of rapid fire cause the minor kick will throw the aim off a little (this is all from experience when I played the beta).
Also, maybe a 1-2 minute video of the updated Sawed Off after TU1?

These people who usually complain are either 1 of 2 kinds of people.
