LOL DUUUUDE i'm french and I have TWO saturns as well, a french black one and a jap white one!! And I used to live in istanbul, I got exhumed when my dad went to paris once, i got stuck at karnak and it pissed me off! I think france is the only country where the guys from Fnac actually thought the Saturn was gonna beat the Playstie. That's why my dad bought me a saturn and not a PS, which you know what? Is better that way!! Fuckin lost vikings, exhumed, nights, panzer dragoon!!!!

je jouai en boucle à la version saturn de exhumaid (je disais pareil à l'époque), mais quand j'ai eu la version pc, celle-ci m'a sembler un peu plus complet, avec des musiques en plus. en tout cas les musiques étaient énOrme.

En fait, la phrase de Segata Sanshiro est "Sega Saturn Shiro!", qui signifie "Sega Saturn blanche", le modèle actuellement mis en promotions par cette mascotte parodiant un judoka fictif très connu au Japon; "Sugata Sanshiro".

Entre Sugata Sanshiro et la Sega Saturn Shiro, on a avait de quoi faire un bon jeu de mots et une bonne mascotte. Ainsi, naquit ce judoka agressif qui tabasse quiconque s'amuse autrement qu'avec une Sega Saturn Blanche.

Powerslave showed just how piss poor the port of Doom for saturn was. Powerslave's graphics and framerate were far superior to Doom, which was great on PS1. Powerslave also had a cool "bomb blast" trick similar to rocket jumping in quake. It would let you find hidden items on certain maps. Thanks for taking the time to review it.

Man, I really love all the stuff you're reviewing! I think there may have been a FEW FPAs made before this one, but I'm not sure. I think the Ultima Underworld games (which were among the earliest of the FPS genre) had a similar style, also a couple games called Stonekeep and Strife. I'm too lazy to look up the years on them, though.

Eyh Dude, I know about Ultima Underworld which was a blast for it's time but it was more of a Real Time First Person RPG than a FPS with Adventures, like Underworld was more of the evolution of games such as Dungeon Master you see ?

Cool, cool. I only maybe got to play for about 30 minutes on it or so, I just knew it was quite a bit more actiony than some of the other first person RPGs of the time. I think it just felt different because it allowed such a free range of movement.

Strife is definitely a First Person Adventure. It was released in 1996. It doesnt look nearly as good as exhumed, but it's pretty fun to play and goes slightly further in the concept by allowing you to talk with npc's... But at it's core it's still a good old shooter. It uses the doom engine, soo. Benzaie, if you havent tried it, I suggest you check it out, it runs just fine under zdoom.

This game does look pretty good though. The graphics in particular look impressive for the Sega Saturn.

Nope, it's a in house full 3d engine. While the enemies and weapons are rendered as sprites they could have been easily rendered in 3d (but at that time, sprites were just as good I guess... they were much more detailed than models)
