I grew up and learned to climb in Mn. I'm now in NC loving the mountains here, but nothing is like the climbing community in Mn. Thanks for the film. It made me homesick.
Great video! I have a question (mostly of a very geeky nature): I edit in Final Cut Pro, and shoot in 24p Advanced. How do you convert your stuff to make it look so good on YouTube? h.264? Data rate? Size?
this video makes me want to get out and enjoy what minnesota has to offer for climbing.. any experienced climbers willing to take me out and teach me the ropes.. I've been climbing a couple times in the black hills of south dakota.
I recently moved to SE Minnesota, and was hoping to get a better flavor of the best rock climbing areas around. Nevertheless, this video provides a good reflection of the sport of rockclimbing.
Well done. Although there were times when I wasn't sure if it was serious or not. The production and editing are superb. I live in Duluth so I know these areas well.
Choosing not to stick clip a sport route that has the potential to hobble you seems more than a bit odd, and "trad" is less about gear and more about ground up... but other than that I thought it was a great film that nailed all the important reasons for climbing. Good work!
