Snaking and cutting the really sharp corners takes more effort than some people profess. I don't know why you think snaking is cheating, anyway - it's been confirmed officially that snaking was intentionally a part of the game.

Like Pigeon said, snaking gives the game much more depth. Playing through all the cups without snaking is positively dull.

Snaking can not be considered to be "cheating" at all, simply because if the developers of MKDS did not intend to have the MTs performed in such quick succession, then it never would have happened. Just take previous MK games and also MK Wii for example.
