I discovered this singer just feew days ago and I'm surprised. beacouse he isn't so famous like many other very famous singers that can't compare to his voice. But I don't like his way to sing napolitan songs. His pronunciation is good enough but he's got a bad accent. Anyway the voice is wonderfull but for napolitan songs I prefer Claudio Villa.
One of the Greatest voices, GOD ever grace this planet with. A beautiful and powerful voice and a true Italian. Jimmy owned and still owns this song. Another Italian Singer stated in Jimmy's book. I just sat there in rehersel to here him sing Mala Femmena and then I leave.
many Italians from the other side say his accent was not napuletan enough. But this is the only man who could sing these songs with such emotion, no one else could touch him, that is my opinion. My grandfather was born in Pozzuoli, Naples and he loved him.
Listening to this brings back my grandfather, uncles and cousins and the many happy Sunday barbeques in my grandparents beautiful yard in the 50's and 60's. Thank you for posting this.
This is one of my alltime favs.We used to play this at La Fantasia Ristorante on Bloomfield Avenue across from Wattsessing Park. I haven't heard this song in years. Those were good times in North Jersey. Family was just that and it meant something. We were men of respect. I was taught to walk like a man. I say thank you. p.s. Not bad for a shinny black kid in the 80's. lol
Here is another one of my favorite's by this wonderful singer. He can make you cry, give you goose bumps. They say, he is the only one that could make the mafia cry. lol I can believe it. You have to be made of stone for this not to effect you. Thank you again Bigjoemig2003
