  • Got one of these last week to take over from my WD and it's every bit as good. One pro is the SD slot, fill a quality 16 GB SD card with mp4.s and in it goes. Weeks viewing pleasure.

  • hello i have one of these and need to change the battery in the remote control ................. anybody know what battrey it needs.

o yeah my father threw out the original battery ....thats why i am asking

  • @guitaneman CR2025

  • @Grenaid21 hi there i replaced the battery with a duracell cr2025 and the cyclone is stuck on stand by i think my remote has died or the unit . there is no way i can get it out of stand by ...... kind of useless to me now.

hardly ever used this as i have a egreat m34a ... but the cyclone was great for portability with a projector.

i dont supose sumvision is of any help with this as there is lots of people with the same problem. on line

  • where can i buy it wholesale?

  • sumvision have pirated films in this incriminating evidence

  • wut no remote?

  • i get no sound when used with a hdmi cable, does anyone know why?

  • Hi Hajdukyson

If you go to rcsdirect.co.uk I have the details on my site. To answer your question it comes with Composite (A/V) hope this helps.

  • does it read MKV or ISO movie format from HDD??

  • @alecs1313 from the comments I read it can read VOB and ISO files (complete DVD ISO rips), but cannot read MKV

  • Does anyone know why this player does not play any video file entirely? It always cuts out at the end! It's very annoying when there is no credits at the end of a video you miss the ending of a film or show!

  • Wondering what is in the box...

Search for unboxing Cyclone Micro Sumvision Media Player

  • Yep...just typed cyclone30.. takes you to memorybits

£17.98 if you add this code at the checkout... That's the cheapest on the entire net as far as I can see!

  • The cyclone is cheaper at rcsdirect.co.uk with discount found on site.

  • looks good :P but the composite vs HDMI upscale is pretty much a load of tosh :P btw the sound track is by Kevin MacLeod, u should have given him credit in this video for using his music :P

  • no mkv support?

  • Can you download movies and put it onto the Cyclone?

  • @TheEddie3000

you need a flash drive or compatible memory card then you can.

  • memorybits have these for a ridiculous i8 quid inc P+P.

For that price they are worth getting

  • @greenben101

    ??? £26 when I look!

  • @fastra

type in cyclone30 for 30% off and you get it for less than 18 quid.

  • @greenben101

    thanks matey!

    :)

  • now some important question, does it suport utf8 languages ???

  • wont pick up my external regardless of what i do....even before i plug my drive in it already shows that a drive is plugged in and when it comes toread the drive it just show [use rom icon] message which is pissing me off and the troubleshooter is useless.

  • can you just plug it straight into your computer and record via a program?

  • will this work on downloaded films?

  • I just got one of these - its stunning! Works best with .iso backups of DVD's. I just watched a DVD backup and it didnt miss a beat throughout the whole movie, quality is same as original dvd, incredible product!

  • @philby37 Really??? i think i'll go order one! how much did you pay? 90€-+?

    with mkv all ok?

  • Theres plenty on eBay for about 25 Euros! Try ebay,co,uk if they arent on eBay,it

  • scrolling through photos at that speed looks like fun :-(

  • @SelfSufficientEire sorry i'm italian i didn't understand.. you mean is very slowly for seeing photos?

  • Not impressed, it will not pick up my WD Mypassport external usb drive, i have formated it every format that the Cyclone Micro says it supports and no joy.

  • @funtymemedia Same thing has happened to me, shows my passport essential is connected by the little icon but cannot get into it, did you solve the problem with yours. My passport is Mac formatted, thought it might be this or maybe its the software that the Passport has loaded onto it. I'm no tekky but wish someone out there had an answer. CAN ANYONE HELP US!!

  • @07LOMAX Hiya mate, sorry to say there is no solution, i ended up buying another external hard drive as i could not get the passport to work, i removed the software that was installed on the passport and that did not work, i then ordered a doubled headed usb cable because i thought the problem could be that the passport was not getting enough power from the micro, so i plugged one into the passport and the other into the back of my Wii that did not work, so i bought a 16gb usb stick that worked.

  • @funtymemedia Hi thanks for the reply, guess I will get a 16Gb memory stick, just looked at the choice... 100s. Which one did you end up buying as it would be nice to get one that definitely works with the media player. By the way are you MAC or PC based.

    Thanks again

  • does this play MKV files

  • This is so cool, I was thinking of buying the cyclone media player, like 500gb and around £80, so I can watch backup dvds like 700mb, AVI each on my plasma tv. However my dvds are back up on my 1tb hardrive, and buying this device, I can still watch my dvds on tv, And it cost only like £20, very cheap.

Also means I can use hdmi or composite if I use a different tv.

Very cool vid. And its very small compact, 5/5

  • @mumihp just 20 "pounds", so about 35€ ?? can you link me where did you buy it? i saw only the version with LAN (but i don't have that necessity) at about 90€!

  • will it play back backed up dvds? ie - the ones in a video_ts folder full of vobs ans ifos?

  • Does it have to be HDMI? can i use AUX or scart?

  • Composite(AV) video cable can be used

  • @sumvisionInfo hi what battery does the remote control take

  • that's fine that's meen it's good.

  • any comments from people who bought one ...i need your feedback... i bought one lasted 3 days then died ( no power ) .........waiting on a replacement ........very neat little media player but ..disappointed it stopped working

  • Good!
