There are 3 different versions of Back To The 80's. The AUS/NZ version starts with "Wake Me Up Before you Go-Go", as does the UK/European version. The US/Canada version however does not have "Wake Me Up" and instead starts with "Kids In America" due to copyright/legal reasons and restrictions.

They most likely used a Pearl of some sort.

A few moving heads, and tonnes of LED cans!

The colour looks a bit tacky... but who cares!

I'm doing this year for our show, schools on a tight budget so we are getting alot of par cans... great we have a 3phase 63amp supply at school!
