  • I spent an hour trying to pry it appart and then I found this and that one screw under the bar code! Those sneeky bastards! Haha! Thx for the vid man! !,,!. .!,,!

  • can you please make sure the screws are all out!!!

  • what a tool, took you longer to open the controller than it did for me to replace the buttons.. TWWAAAT...

  • THAT CRAFTY FUCKING SEVENTH SCREW!

  • Wedge a small flathead screwdriver down the screws and wedge that damn bump out kinda a pain in the ass but it works and then you don't have to buy a new tool and/or wait for it to ship.

  • Some times if yo u a flat head screw driver. It helps to separate it a little bit....After that its really easy......Hillarious.....oh back to drilling a screw out....FAIL

  • Either your wicked fat or just have a problem with breathing cause all i can hear is your breath, breath less.

  • Actualy i managed to open it with a percision flat head scredriver, took a long time and a little frustration to keep from stripping them but i got it open.

  • @ishigoto what size flat head becasue i tryed it and i cant get it at all

  • your a fucking retarted muda! make sure you drill all the screws out first! waste of my time!

  • Fuck blackops fucking up my joystick.

  • wait if the motherboard is glued inside i have that problem with two of my controllers!

how do i take it out??? yo please help me cause one of them i bought from china hoping to mod it (3 mode rapid fire) but its glued! someone please reply!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Its a fucking Torx T8 screwdriver that you need...

  • the analogue stick on my ps3 remote broke i fixed it with no special tool now my b button on my xbox remote is stuck and i need a special tool:FUCK YOU MICROSOFT

  • @adriandude85 nice copying you got there

  • @finalkamehamehaflash what do u mean copy?

  • @adriandude85 the fuck you microsoft part... you CLEARLY copied from snowman1025...

  • @finalkamehamehaflash i didn't copy it we just seem to have a similar way of thinking i was thing f u be4 i even saw this video

  • @adriandude85 just... shut the fuck up allready... ffs you clearly copied plz... PLZ do not try to make up by saying some random letters... just shut... the fuck... up

  • @finalkamehamehaflash who cares microsoft sucks ass it might seem we both said the same thing but its true

  • @adriandude85 that because xbox controllers are made better. i can break a ps3 controller by squeezing it

  • @adriandude85 ha! if you belived needing a torx 8 security then you're an idiot, the controller screws can be removed with a very small flathead. the driver goes between the security pin and the side of the screw and tadah

  • @GNRDisturbedSlash i never said was security, all i said was i have to buy something that i dont commonly have, everyone has a cross headed screw driver, while not everyone might have a torx 8

  • @adriandude85 that applies to what i said anyway. because of the security pins in the srews, you can just use a small flathead to get in the screw and esaily remove it, thats what i did.

  • why the fuck microsoft make that shit so complicated and u have 2 buy a special tool and shit ????

  • This should be called "How To Disassemble an Xbox 360 controller FAIL"

  • ITS A FREAKIN T8H

  • I use a hammer

  • a glasses flat head screwdriver works perfectly!

  • just use a small flat head

  • Lol... Pull it apart, like so..... *much difficulty* fuck it im using the Drill.

  • what the hell you don't need that tool just use a small screw driver and break the pin in the screw and use a t8 driver and get it out

  • Did u really need to use a drill gun? lol its easier to open it up with a torx screw driver.

  • @Alfymon its easyer with a drill

  • Seventh screw my controller fell apart as it should :P

  • For those wanting the exact name of the tool: Torx T8 Security Driver

  • @quicksilver4648

does it have to be security driver...or can it be just Torx T8 screw driver..?

  • @SantaMaster123 Go on eBay and search for "Torx T8 Tamper proof Security screw driver Xbox 360". The first item is exactly what I bought. It worked perfectly in opening my wireless controller. In response to your question, I don't know what the difference is, if there even is any

  • @quicksilver4648

thank you......this helps clear my confusion lol

  • @quicksilver4648

well i thought a torx t8 security screwdriver had a hole for the pin...and a torx t8 screwdriver didnt

  • go to..

    mycustomxbox . com

they sell the screw driver.. :P

  • power drills are for girls, real men use screwdrivers

  • I just forced it with a regular flathead screwdriver and the pin in the middle popped off.

  • a small flat head screw driver works too

  • I opened my friends controller earlier to tamper with the triggers to allow faster shooting (lone behold that his idea was pulling the springs out, which didn't work, but I got to open one) and I put my bit in my wrench, screwdriver, apparatus, and the hole was too small which sucks because I had to take a pocket knife and shave the hole wider.

  • Comment removed

  • Lol poor guide

  • the screws dont come out, i have a torx t8 too, still wont come out :(

  • @gtarhero T8H?

  • this video sucks

he must be retarded because it took him forever

  • can u get it at radioshack and other stores?

  • yes u can get a t8 bit or if you are smart find a small small i mean small flathead and they come right out without stripping them

  • I just cant seem to get rid of the pings in the middle of th screw off, the ones at the bottomish part of the crontroller.

  • you cant even open it.

  • OPEN!!

  • you're an idiot

  • i thought u were going to turn into the crazy german kid when u started smacking ur controller onto the desk

  • Jesus, I only have 3 screws out so far. Im using a T8, but it doesn't have the hole in the middle. Is there any other way I csn get them out?

  • I think you need to buy a anti tamper t8 you can buy it at the most hardware stores or you can buy it at ebay like the guy in the vid.

  • Use a small screwdriver to break the pin out of the screw. Then the Torx T8 will be fine.

  • @FearFringe

    i used a 2,4mm flathead

    worked for me...

  • use a small flathead screw driver or small philips head and break off the little pin in the middle. Or use a small drill bit to carefully drill the pins out..

  • GOD it took me 2 hours just to clean my whole fricken remote!!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much i didn't know about the last screw thank you you prevented my controller breaking

  • i cant find a t8 and my drill broke so how can i break the pins?

  • is there anything you can open it with without a torks 8? i dont have anything to do with torks so i need suggestions

  • yeah i used a flat head screwdriver from a glasses kit and it worked fine

  • OMG! i've been trying to pen my controller without doing the 7th screw because i didnt know it was there... (i think i broke a few things too XD)

  • sweet but i still dont know if i wanna do it cause if i break it my dad will kill me lol great vid tho bro

  • hahaha assholes at microsoft! i opened it without a t9 or t8 just a rele small flat head does the job!

  • you have the same laptop as me :D

  • fuck you microsoft !! why couldnt you just make it a common drill bit you fuckin pricks lol

  • right!? i mean why the fuck wouldnt you make it a commonly used screw? instead get one that is only sold in certain states lol

  • i thought it was t9

  • ghetto way ftw

  • I just broke the joystick on a controller after a fucking retarded madden play. Now I see I need a special tool to try to fix it myself. fuck you microsoft

  • same thing happened to me

  • ill fix it 4 u

  • assassins greed is my reason

  • @Snowman1025 i jumped on mine after a bad mw2 spell now my analog stick wont work lol!

  • @Snowman1025 no u can drill the little pin out and the and then use a small phillips screwdriver

  • u could buy for 4 dollars

  • Hey...that sounds exactly like seth green...

  • lol laptop on a laptop XD

  • you can also use a small jewelers flathead screwdriver, instead of a t8 security bit. ghetto way

  • HAHA THX MAN! youre the best :D ghetto way ftw xD

took the smallest screwdrive i got...

btw! you don't need to break the pin i did notice, you can just use a screw driver and open then up just like all other screws. i did open the two in the bottom with the screwdriver then i broke the pin

  • how do you remove the pins in the screws

  • I have a T-9 and it opened the 2 top screws but it won't open any other one.

  • same here and i got a t8 butt the others still wont come out!?!?!? ohh yea the gay pin in the middle...

  • it should be able to get them al out. I did. But the bottom ones are definatley the hardest

  • fuck i for got the one under the bar code... i broke a 360 controller and said fuck it

  • lol didn't know what he as doing

  • haha u couldnt get that last screw retard

  • can someone help me i fckin cant open mine and idk where tog et the kind of screwdriver.... comment me..

  • Hahaha hehe hoho!! thats the longest ever.. brilliant..

  • damn the little pins are fucking annoying!

  • ur a retard

  • im go break my controller now bye

  • i just got mine @ home depot. it was like 6 bucks but it came with other srews 2

  • Yea,im still wondering if you can get that T8 thing at a local store like radio shack, home depot, ect.

  • yea man, usually they;re at radio shacka nd shit, uh sears, has em

  • lol my neighbou lent me theres

and uh yea radio shack and sears, seears definately :)

  • amigo gracias for the video!

  • pull what out to get the circuit bored out?

  • awesome vid, thanks

  • fuck i got the t9 :\

  • t9 fits dumbfuck

  • thank you bro very helpful right on

  • my fucking drill bit is too thick for the bottom screws.

    nice video tho

  • Modify your bit by grinding it down with a bench grinder, so that it will fit into the hole. That is what I did to my bit.

  • i actually got a holecutter drill bit and widened the bottom hole

  • Dale's Hardware is i found a drill bit kit.

  • lol this guy kind of sounds like chris on family guy

  • so he sounds like a retard? Gee you're nice

  • lazy yank using a power screwdriver

  • What I recommend, if you have the money, instead of buying just a torx, buy a rapid fire button kit that comes with the torx needed, then you can customize and get rapid fire buttons.

  • you can get a t8 allen wrench for less than a dollar...

  • but there's also the problem that t8 allen wrenches don't have a hole in the middle of them to avoid the pin in the middle of the screw. i suppose you could cut a notch, but that requires a dremel dril and a cutting wheel, things that some people don't have.

  • You can break off the pins easily almost too easily... and you don't have to worry about the warranty since you break the seal on the 7th screw anyways.

  • what do you use to break them off?

  • do you know where you can buy rapid fires with the Torx 8, Im from the Uk and they arnt they easy to pick up. Well if they are i cant find any =D

  • we have the same laptop, lolz.

  • i have taken apart my controller befor but i tryed last night and my chip is stuck

  • umm any1 no how to take off the bumpers correctly?.if you do and there is a video send me a pm plz :D

  • i watched this video on the same kind of laptop as the 1 in the backround :OOOOO lol thanks for the help tho...i wanted to mod it and stuff :D

  • Thanks man! I almost broke the shit because of the seventh screw! I use a regular flat screwdriver, small one though, so that will work fine for everybody else to!

    Greetings from Norway

  • after he spent so long trying to open it I thought the video was going to be funny and he was going to slam it down and brake it to peices on the desk

  • finally a guy that knows what he's doing. all the videos ive seen have been little kiddies half naked showing me there stupid arkward way of opening it. but now I know what I need and I can do it.

  • Use a TINY flat head screw driver. There is two ways to do this.

    1) Put flat tip between one side of the post and turn.

    2) put flat tip on the bottom of the post and break it off, then use a standar T8 to open it. Takes 3-5mins tops. Better than searching endlessly for a T8 security any day. Hope this helped some people!

  • thats

a preeddy shity lap top asshole.

i picked ur mom up on ebay for 3 bucks

  • what the name of the tool ?

  • tamper proof T8 torx

  • omfg!!!!

i did it the wrong way and it broke ='[

the front of the thing broke ='[[[[[

now where can i buy a new face plate for the controller?

  • you have go to be joking right? try ebay

  • hey i cant seem to find the torx bit to buy anywhere

  • I got mine on ebay

  • your running vista............MISTAKE!! LOL

  • vista works fine you dumbass fanboy

  • vista kicks ass you little bitch

  • wow guys/girls u took that comment tooooo far no vista does not kick ass Xp does, but LINUX does the most, alright so f*** off

  • XP!

    its old, but reliable

  • dont worry you dont need a T8 torx thingy, i undid all the screws with a bit of fiddling around with a normal flat head screwdriver, and i did no damage, it only took about 3 minutes!

  • i dont wanna take the time to buy a t8 so im trying the philips way but the last 2 are being little assholes

  • would a store like home depot carry it or staples. Thanx for your help

  • I don't think so, I looked at home depot after discovering that set of bits didn't work but they didn't have it. Keep in mind that the small bits that you put into a screw driver don't work because they are too big to reach the two deepest screws

  • Hi im from yahoo answers. You recomended this video. Would a computer administator have a t8.

  • likely yes, however not the tamper proof type that is needed. You need one that has a small hole in the center for the pin

  • Does the bit have the hole in the middle?

  • yes, when you are looking for a bit the term for the hole in the center in this case is tamper proof

  • opettele ensteks ku rupeet"neuvomaan muita"hah hah

  • how did you remove the security pins???

  • you need a long reaching, Torx T8 size tamper proof bit, they are pretty cheap on ebay
