  • Dear acid, I've found something better than you.

  • i loved how dirty and raw there live sets were back then alive 97' was absolutely amazing. It would be incredible if they combined the style of raves in the 90's with the style of alive 07' they would be the guy that would be able to pull that off

  • sp 1200 5:35

  • Who knew that you could party to Phillips screw tip video show?

  • legends at work..

  • Didn't they use a pre-commerical ableton or some other sequencer though to keep time and play those sampled-loops?

  • @slytown I believe they just looped them in check with a sequencer. They did however use some program. In the video, you can see a monitor running some program.

  • As you can see in the crowd everyone is trying to see their faces.

  • Pretty good camera for a 1997 gig.Cool to see them perform without the masks too.

  • Best Copy on youtube!

  • Yeah that is until I upload all 8 angles of the performance.

  • Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, the worst praise never, too avant-garde for me however, I was first-year student in the college

  • Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, Bought type east DVD and I and my friendly would have sections of the coil and of a good amount of smoke of the marijuana and this excrement it is the corrimento, of which it is LSD of diethylamide of acid where that motherfucking, the end to mean the one of the donkey of or to a stage,

  • live ftw

  • anybody venture to guess what each member does for the performance? I notice Thomas uses hhis hands more than Guy: is one rhythm and the other lead effects, or something like that?

  • thomas is the most active guy in the band.. I know he did Rollin & Scratchin by himself for example

  • How do you know that ?

Guy-Man change the pitch of R&S with the Juno 106, Thomas made the rhythm with TR909 and TR808

  • TR-808? Where the hell do you see that at? I'm still anlyzing the video after a year and a half and have only figured out 3 of the things they used. Also do you know if there is full footage of this? I'm positive there has to be somewhere out there because there's no way they recorded just this part of the performance. They had cameras going the whole time.

  • @SETHHIKARU I'd really like to see the whole video too. I'm trying to track down the guy whose credited to this video, Phillip Richardson. He was either the director or editor of this clip. Let me know if you have any leads.

  • @BIzO76 ...they both work,and we know it :/

  • @BIzO76 lol,they BOTH work...

  • @Philsbs Thomas is the more talkative person of the two, and he does more technical stuff, but if you want the truth, I believe Guy-Man brings in the originality to the two. They balance out, and that's what makes them so great.

  • @Philsbs No, Guy is just really really shy.

    I love them both.

  • 5:35 SAMPLE BY???

  • That 5:35 sample sounds like Don't Believe the Hype (Housemeister Remix).

  • damn i didn't know daft punk ever played their music live, thought they just always djed, man these guys should cut the ableton out and preform again with their hardware for the 2009.2010 kids

  • Its kind of hard if theyre going to play discovery and human after all tracks.

  • i would pay almost any money to see a show like this. fuck the computers off and do it old school.

  • Except for the ones they are using. This concert wouldn't be able to happen without those. Also, as far as I know, a concert exactly like this is 100 percent possible, because I'm pretty sure Daft Punk still has all the equipment they used.

  • @moogus8000 XD they used computers in this.

  • Grüße Fräulein, Sturm-Verbot-Führer, However, interference with the essential Pete Tong, an important influence for me, so terrible that I do not understand, like DJ's, DJ's Live is a relic of the train and evil can not win a game in hand a bouquet of BBC . However, the song selection is great, as when he said, ganja, and I have to play Drive Houston, but I'm fucking shit in this bitch

  • totally wish i could of been able to see them back in the day

  • Does anybody have a clue as to what that very large synth at 6:12 may be?

  • It's a Roland Juno 106, Daft Punk use it for Rollin' & Scratchin' , he change the pitch of the track with the VCF Cutoff of this synth

  • Yeah its the Juno-106 and it is used for Rock n' Roll, Rollin' & Scratchin', Burnin', and most of there live synth sounds.

  • just buy theirs albums and you'll know ! all the songs used are credited !

  • seriously? like it says all the instruments used?

  • yep !

  • dude. totally gettin those

  • Brilliant...

  • Brillant !!!!

    Du pur son !!!!!!

  • man, I wish they had more footage from '97...It really blew my mind

  • From what I should understand, those cameras were recording from start to finish of that concert because you wouldn't put them there just for a short excerpt. Someone I know says they have the whole video performance of this on there iPod from the iTunes store. Not sure though because I haven't seen it yet.

  • Ca n'a pas pris une ride. Trop bon :-)

  • esta rola esta bien chingona

  • kool
