And clipping preplaced gear...c'mon, man. I hate to tell other people how to climb and I only have limited leading experience. But, I mean...lead it or don't. Top roping is fine and somebody's gotta clean the route. But clipping gear someone else put in for you is not very pure.

I'm torn by the gloves. I see the appeal and it isn't as if it makes the moves any easier. However, it does make jamming a lot more pleasant than it is supposed to be. I guess I think you kinda taint the route by using them and you rob yourself of the full IC experience.

if its cheating to have rubber on your hands then it is cheating to have rubber on your feet. and to use chalk or tape for that matter. and for the record no i dont have crack gloves but if you want to use them go for it.

nice climbing, but if ur gonna use gloves use tape, not rubber, and its way more badass to place you own gear. Other than that, sweet climbing, looked like fun

Cool video.  I would like to get involved in climbing but it seems a lot of money to get started and not be sure if im gonna like it or not.

try a nearby climbing wall if there is one, or else find some boulders to practice technique on. its a very rewarding past-time. at least give it a go, u dont have to buy anything if u dont want to.

no way man, you don have to spend much to get into it, just go to your local climbing center with a mate and hire some gear!,have fun.

you should because it is a great sport. i have been climbing most of my life. i suggest you find and indoor climbing gym and seek instruction first....then you'll find out if you like it or not
