  • Dumb cops have nothing better to do. Go eat your doughnuts, pigs!

  • Dum cops

  • great video.

if they want to give tickets for people not riding in bike lanes, they need to have bike lanes throughout the city and, of course, give tickets to vehicles for blocking them. the city should get a ticket for removing bike lanes or not having them in needed areas to make things just.

  • hhaha lol.. i'll use youtube to protest next time.. :)

  • Ya, I'll see you in the office when I'm on time, knowing my speed and time of which I can get there, and when you're ten minutes late from your taxi which was caught in a jam that ya paid for. : D

  • this guy is definitely in the lefty"cult" he is not a kool aid maker only a drinker . he is more manic then asperger. another words i know "WHAT" he is. crasyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy dangerous type. check out his eyes

  • lol your not even wearing a helmet... you fearless bastard!

  • if i was that Yellow Cab driver i would have beat this dude ass up for damaging my yellow cab

  • @jamil316 if i was the guy riding the bike, and the cab tried to beat my ass up, i would slam him to the ground. and laugh at him. way of the road rick

  • @doyler12td well go out there and try it i hope u meet some crazy cab driver

  • I cycle, although I try to avoid the street as much as possible; I'm a fairly courteous rider. I wear safety gear, obey the road rules, ride on the right side of the street etc.

I'm stunned that someone could get a ticket for riding on the road. Of course clearly the cop didn't know the law and the ticket was bogus.

If you're a rider who flouts the road rules you deserve a ticket, especially fools who run lights & stop signs. But riding in the street outside the bike lane is not an offense.

  • Lol he has the same name as me and is also male.

  • New York City should BAN cars from thier streets, it would show the world how tolerant they are.

  • y'know i love playing GTA 4 and killing all the taxi guys... it feels so good.

  • awesome

  • If everyone had bikes there be no prob ! And less cars more trains

  • @92FREESPIRIT

    YES!!!! *manhug*

    I totally agree!

And less pollution too. And energy consumption.

  • Funny about how folks are reading my post. I just had some reply saying just the opposite. I agree with you. This is not the freest when the government can go after kids and lemonade stands. That is the point. We are being regulated to oblivion.

There are two Americas now. Rural America that represents the Great America as a Stallion and urban America that represents America as a Ass! More urban Americans now and they are gaining control.

  • I only said, "not the freest!". I did not say less than Cuba! We now have to many rules, regs and everything else including taxes which are getting to high. Each one of these impacts our "real" freedoms. When I was young our America was like a might stallion compared to the rest of the world. Now our America is an mighty ass! We are not the country that we were!!!!! It's time to take it back and free them from the government rules and regs!!!!!!!!!!! I want the Stallion back.

  • @ Darwanion i thought taxis could ride in bus lanes? or is that only for outside London?

  • Have you ever heard of getting OFF the bike and WALKING it through the sidewalk when there is an obstacle inthe way?

  • good video! bureaucracy is idiocracy

  • he looks funny!

  • Yeah man, fight the power! :D

  • @fhhhffeererer you an idiot.

  • YEA! FUCK THE POLICE!

  • I'm a UK taxi driver and I resent the fact that the local authority will spend thousands on building cycle lanes and bus lanes (bus companies are private enterprise) and yet we are not allopwed to use them. We pay the same taxes and road fund licence. What does a cyclist pay? Fuck all!

  • @Darwinion

Apart from risking their lives from taxi drivers who think they own the bloody road!

  • @Darwinion It allows bikers to keep travelling emission-free.

  • Brilliant! They need to re-instate common sense.

  • @fhhhffeererer In America, over 30,000 people die in cars every year. Over 1.5 million world wide die in cars. Obviously you're not in any hurry to make this a better world, or a healthier and safer one. You'd rather just think in your own small and selfish ways, would you say?

  • @fhhhffeererer You're really not thinking clearly. Bicyclers are being more unselfish, more healthy, stronger, more sportsmen like, more economical, more environment friendly, much smarter, much more fun - what the hell are you doing in your car? Polluting, trying to get diabetes faster, trying to get fatter, trying to die sooner, trying to be as lazy as humanly possible. Seriously! I think you should get off your high horse and think a little bit more.

  • Awesome! Glad to see more bikers taking this more serious. I hate being the dumbass always in my car. I'm trying to ride the bicycle more often but drivers in cars really need to be more careful. I always keep an eye out for bicyclers.

  • @fhhhffeererer

"now grow up and get off your bicycle, which are for CHILDREN."

Honestly, that is the dumbest thing I've ever heard someone try to make sound smart. I mean, seriously now? Was that supposed to be the biting end to your big, bad comment?

  • @sillentskills in nyc that traffic backs up for miles an rush hour speed is 9 mph so a bike is the best way to travel in a city

  • @LiLJohn71088

Exactly. Looking back at his comment, it didn't make any sense what so ever. I'm not uppity, i'm not white, I might be a loser (that's a subjective definition), but I still ride a bike. I do it for fun, but in NY, it's a pretty good way to get from point A to point B.

  • @sillentskills lol Love this vid! haha i cant get enough of it! i would have took that to court,

  • @fhhhffeererer most folks that have the response you have are either: old, fat, couch potatoes, and certainly unfit. Which are you?

  • HAHAHA! ROFLMAO! Great idea dude! Greetings from Brazil.

  • @fhhhffeererer you sir, are a supreme dumbshit

  • STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHT!

  • since he was in the car i would have just turned my bicycle around and left him in the middle of traffic :)

  • cyclists like motorists are to follow the rules of the road when on the road. If the rules of the road specify bicycle traffic to specific lanes then you are to use those lanes. My friends and I got pulled over by a cop while riding down our local bicycle path. We road through the stop sign on the path at the intersection of a road and when we saw the cop speed past us I said to my friend... watch he is going to pull us over for blowing that sign. He pulled onto the path and gave us a warning.

  • He was fighting for the people, now he works for the government. LOL, what a sell out.

  • @zxcv73 i dont think he's a sellout. he's working for the gov't making videos to warn people of the dangers they are creating by obscuring the bike lane. He's helping out cyclists and pedestrians. Are you a cyclist?

  • i would love biking & walking world, with main transit lines for transportation of goods and emergency services

  • Great video. I love it!!!!!!!!!! Hey, that's government for you! Remember we are the freest nation in the world, still are except for the exceptions.! My only question is did you damage the cop car and what happened? lol Just love it. Big thanks!!!!

  • @denniscarman1 We're not the freest nation. Try to visit Cuba. You will be arrested. It's too damn expensive to live here.

  • Great video. I love it!!!!!!!!!! Hey, that's government for you! Remember we are the freest nation in the world, still are except for the exceptions.!

  • @denniscarman1

If you think we are the freest nation in the world you obviously have never been anywhere else.

We have paid stooges in this country to shut down children lemonade stands, our police gun innocent people down on the street on a daily basis and our military secures heroin distribution.

This place is a cesspool now and the collapse coming soon is going to be ugly.

  • @kayser9soze LOL, go for it, I don't walk.

  • you right dude! all traffic tickets in NYC smells a shit!!! they only want your money!!! bastards !!

  • Yeah, I've gotten some shit from Cops on this same thing... fact is, mike lanes are often have a strait drop off which is dangerous for a road bike, obstructions, or they're parked in!

  • This is the most ridiculous set of laws in the entire united states...not only do cops drive past double parked cars blocking bike lanes but they do it too..even worse is when you have to tell the cops what the laws actually are (thank god for iphones and mobile web). I got 7 summons by two cops at the same time..that's $650 worth of fines for not riding on the sidewalk and stopping at red lights. two tickets for no whistle, two tickets for them not liking my reflectors and so on.

  • I was a bicycle messenger in NYC for two years...

We have to stay in the bike lanes? Are you kidding me?

NYC...get a grip! They're bikes! You want people riding MORE bikes, not less? Leave the bikers alone!

  • @billybobjoebob1958 I was too, back in the early bird before they became urban fetch days.

  • @kayser9soze Just googled my old employer...mobile messenger. They're still in the same spot, but now they use radios (instead of dimes and phone booths).

  • Nice protest dude, but do something about that hair!

  • this is such a good video. cheers AP

  • It might help if people had to get licenses to ride bikes on the street for more than a few blocks, and sidewalk riding was restricted to sidewalks without blind corners and doorways. (This would mean creating a new government registry, which is something I have my doubts about)

In my experience, people don't make their own set of rules if there isn't already one in place. Without rules to follow, everyone just does their own thing, and that lack of coordination can lead to all sorts of mayhem.

  • Police: Why did you intentionally ram your bike into my vehicle?

Casey: Why did you intentionally park in the bike lane when it clearly looks like there is no emergency at the donut shop?

  • @dreamslovesoul

    HA!!!!!!

lol i would say something along the same lines. and "didnt you tell me to ride in the bike lanes? that's what i did!"

  • Fukk bloomberg with his fukken bike lans they are a waste of the road But once bikers have them stay in them!!! Dont take up road and get in the way of cars aswell, You cant have the cake and eat it too!!

  • @zvwolf Is that what you'll tell some guy that got hit on his bike because he went out of the bike lane because some asshole blocked it when they weren't supposed to? you can't have the cake and eat it too? sir, you are an inconsiderate prick.

  • Agree NYC was just a tad congested when I visited there in the past. So come on down to TEXAS where you can ride in the wide-open spaces as I do almost daily [ the exception being around OUR congested cities and/or suburbs.]

Liked the video, liked the guy's attitude, hate paying off tickets for getting caught doing something that everyone DOES~!

  • Rocky's mouth

  • Huge majority of NYC bicyclist are all whining assholes who do not obey any traffick laws whatsoever. Where did you think you were moving to, Denmark??? I love that you admit you usually don't obey the law but this time it was unfair to get your little ticket. Hopefully the city will not hire a person to make bike safety videos who does not even follow his own messages again.

  • @illcamino Can't wait to see you three feet off the curb so I can run you down like the p.o.s you are.

  • those bikers here in NYC are out of control, they follow no traffic laws, they are a menace to cars and pedestrians

  • He should get a ticket for not wearing a helmet.

  • beautiful and hilarious

  • In Soviet Russia, Bicycles ride YOU!!

  • Streets need proper bike lanes which most places dont have

  • having bikes on the road is like putting people from the special olympics in the olympics....someone is going to get hurt.

  • @mard420

    go suck your mothers cock

  • Bikes should have no rules. Just get there. I don't mind about any bike rider anywhere. Do what you need bro.

  • @mrstuperstefan And thinking like this is why people are against bikes in the first place. Here in New York, bikers ride on the sidewalks, run red lights, ride the wrong way down streets, cut cars and pedestrians off ALL the time, stand in the street to check cell phones and rest, among other things. While not all bikers are like that, the VAST majority anywhere are since they think they are better than everyone else. READ NEXT COMMENT:

  • If they are going to make them ride in the bike lane then they need to also make it illegal to block it. I personally would rather them ride on the sidewalk. Cause some just ride on the road slowing everyone down.

  • Bicyclists get respect when they give respect. In San Francisco, bicyclists get almost no respect because they don't deserve it. They run red lights. They ride their bikes on the sidewalk. They ride the wrong way on the street. They make illegal turns.

What am I missing where these bicyclists deserve respect? I know not all of them are that bad but I can easily say most of them are.

  • @taurnguard Yeah, preach it brother... we have a "share the road campaign" here, but I see no bikers following the traffic laws they are supposed abide by. Kinda like you said, don't demand to "share the road" and then go ahead and break all the rules yourself....

  • Ride in the bike lane dickhead!
