Movie is charming - I think that happy ending would spoil the story. Well, actually it had happy ending - hope is always a good option.

I like actresses playing Lizzie and Mary - I've seen them both in some movies and I like them very much. Butler is also good (he looks better when he's 40 than when he was younger) - nice, caring character.

the movie´s simple gorgeous, the story made me cry, it´s so wonderful and was exactly what I needed. the actors fit perfectly. one can only hope for more movies of that kind as the Hollywood movies are simply fake.

song is WONDERFUL of course, and it fits Lizzie's story so well. this movie is incredible and i've fallen completely head-over-heels in love with gerry butler of course :] loved him in phantom and i loooooooved him in dear frankie. thanks for posting.

I agree. I never was really happy with the ending. I'm glad Frankie figured out the truth but I think Lizzie and the Stranger should have gotten their happy ending.

My son is profoundly deaf and i spent most of this film in tears, a fantastic film and wonderful acting especially by Jack McElhone as Frankie.
