What is wrong with the patient? Why wouldn't they go through the urethra in lieu of the abdominal wall? Sorry, but I need to know what the procudure is for, what caused the swelling? Is this lady pregnant? Why is she going home with all that swelling??
@diamondgirl828 This is fluid that has built up inside the abdomen. It is not urine so they can't go through the urethra. It's part of the inflammatory response. There could be some kind of infection, cancer, liver disease, etc.
I can see he is wering gloves all the procedure, the helper, catches the tube in the extremity area and the Doc cutes without touch the contaminated part, I think he didn´t use sufficient anesthesia, and was very fast, but he know what he did, he did it well, I do this with lack of material, like he had in this video, and improvise, but I am in Uruguay for god sake!
@curicica15 ... No matter where you live I think any procedure especially when performing aseptic technique, it should always be performed under sterile conditions. I think people get sloppy and lazy because they want "quick" money. That's just what I think...
@laspanishchica I was talking about material just this, not aseptic or anseptic procedure, coors is very important, you said money , and I laughed because here I earn just 10 dolars an hour of hard work in ER, but the patient is in the first place always, they doesn`t have any guilt about my bad salary, so I do my work as best as I can, with the material I have, that just what I think...
@embersnow2 No that patients belly is full of fluids, which makes it blow up like this... it is very painful, and it actually provides big relief to the patient, when that fluid is drained.
what is medically unprofessional is, that the good doctor fumbles around with sterile gauze around the catheder insertion site, without wearing gloves...dear Dr. whatever, where did you graduate from????
this guy compromised th sterile field so many times. It is almost not even worth trying to be sterile
