Two of his wives said he raped them into relationships. It's not surprising there is no statue of him in Tasmania given the way he behaved. I'm amazed his illegal behaviour didn't damage his career even more than it did.
The charge "statutory" rape means to have sex with a partner who is under the legal age of consent (to sex) in a given jurisdiction. Thus, it is legally "rape" even if the underaged partner(s) consented to sex.

Errol Flynn ... a left winger??? I don't think so. He went to Spain during the Civil War as war correspondent, he met Ernest Hemingway in Madrid, who talked about left-wing revolutionary virtues and ideas and he commented on his diary: "He (Hemingway) was quite a gruff gent ... I cared for none of that mess". Would ever a left-winger call socialist ideas a mess?
Errol didn't care about politics. Unlike George Orwell and Ernest Hemingway, he didn't go, as war correspondent, to Spain during the civil war out of left-wing solidarity. He went to Spain because: he wanted to run away of his possesive wife, he always liked adventures, he wanted badly to be a writer/correspondent, and in fact he was persuaded mostly by his close "friend" Dr.Hermann Erben, a Nazi secret agent, who duped and used Errol for his own dark spying purposes behind Loyalist lines.
In Spain Errol Flynn acted as a neutral war correspondent who went behind both lines and wrote his impressions in his 74-page diary (that he hoped to publish). However in his vivid journal sometimes he does express slight sympathy for the "ill-dressed" Loyalists and that he didn't enjoy much
meeting Franco's generals, "whose uniform braid was only overshadowed by their self-importance", as he writes, but that's all. No strong feelings and no staunch support or disapproval for anyone.
Errol Flynn NEVER opposed (openly)blacklisting. He never joined or supported the Committee for the First Amendment, a group of 30 famous actors, who risked their careers opposing blacklisting. Actually he didn't bother. Furthermore he was never blacklisted as left-wing. On the contrary he was wrongly suspected by FBI as a hard-line Nazi (who never was), because of his friendship with Dr.Erben, (who was indeed a Nazi).
Maybe he was in private. I'm extremely opposed to blacklist too and I strongly support full freedom of speach for all, either right wing or left wing, but I'm not leftist. As for his "draft dodging", in fact Errol did try to enlist the US army during WWII but he was rejected for health reasons(enlarged heart, painful back etc). He received public criticism (unanswered because Jack Warner wanted to hide the bad state of Flynn's health) but he wasn't blacklisted because FBI knew his bad health.
Errol in his autobiography, describes his meeting with the painter Diego Rivera (who was an active Communist) in Mexico City in the mid-30's. During their meeting Flynn criticized Rivera's allegiance to the Communist Party and instead praised Salvador Dali for being politically neutral, above political parties making Rivera furious. And that's exactly what he liked about Castro, that he initially stood above any political party or ideology.
He did, but not out of left-wing solidarity. Flynn like most US people and officials praised Fidel Castro in the early days of the Cuban Revolution, when WAS NOT leftist-marxist, but a liberal-nationalist non-party movement. Flynn himself in January 1959 told the Press he was sure Castro was not a Communist but an Idealist and that he could guarantee it. He added humorously anybody with intelligence is a communist at 20, but anybody who is a communist at 40 is a fool.
If you're interested in Errol Flynn's character, personality, beliefs etc. the best and most valid source in the world is Jack Marino who knows a hell of a lot about Errol Flynn.
He knows both his daughters and two of his wives, he has copies of all his writings and diaries and he was a close friend of late Tony Thomas, Flynn's biographer.
According to Jack Marino Errol Flynn was apolitical. He had no political convictions, other than vague, idealistic ones.
We have to remember that in the early days of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro was a hero all over the world and the USA, fighting against Battista's tyranny, so Errol was seduced by Castro.
During this period Castro repeatedly denied being a communist. For example in New York on April 25he said, "I don't agree with communism. We are democracy. We are against all kinds of dictators.... That is why we oppose communism."
It wasn't until later that he adopted Communism and Soviet influence.
Errol Flynn had to flee Cuba to avoid being executed by an angry Castro.
Shortly after Errol made the film, Cuban Story (1959), he discovered what was really the agenda of Castro and his "Revolution": Severe oppression, firing squads, torture, abuse of all civil rights and dictoral communist rule.
Errol realized he had been duped. He denounced Fidel and was almost killed before he was thrown out of the country
Some interesting comments on this clip: backstage, Errol Flynn arrived at CBC's studio four drunk, with a young girlfriend, and still coming onto the FPC makeup artist. (She resisted.) That man was quite a character alright - and, so was Sinclair, whose fashion sense would make Don Cherry look like George Clooney.
OK, the father of the "godfather of grunge" ... but there is also Pierre Burton who was a well known writer and TV interviewer, check out the Bruce Lee Lost Interview on youtube.
Gordon Sinclair (the older round faced fellow) ... who had a hit record in the U.S. "the Americans" in the mid 70's! (also on youtube).
Fred Davis was such a consummate professional that he somehow kept his composure even when a drunk or incongruous challenger appeared on the show. The attractive brunette panelist was Toby Robins, who went on to a successful acting career in Britain before dying of cancer in 1986, aged 55.
Flynn died eight months after this at age 50. The man was the quintessential hedonist -- loved booze, coke, women, men, adventure, sailing and a good joke. RIP.
Wow, coke? I don't recall hearing that about him, but I wouldn't doubt it. I love Errol's films AND his life story. He certainly lived it on his own terms but, as a consequence, he died much too soon.
He was a well-known Canadian sports writer who was equally adept writing stories about well-known people. He died only a few years ago, in his late 80s. (Ironically, Neil Young almost lost his life to illness soon after.)
Lol! Flynn wanted to be a journalist more than he wanted to be an actor. Kinda ironic that he was the subject of so much ink in the press! Beverly Aadland (his teen girlfriend) was the star of CRG's, was not Cuban. She gave me a copy of her appearance on You Bet Your Life in which she sang! In Cuba, Errol hung out with Cuban beauties, no doubt!
My father flew (Curtiss Hawk biplanes) for the Cuban Air Force (briefly) and a Cuban sugar planter who owned the 21 club (or Storck Club?) in NYC, 1930s Cuba flew Hemmingway around, met Flynn, had breakfast with him at Watson Island in Miami, 3 thugs 'picked' on Flynn, he got up went outside and whipped all 3
That sounds like Flynn all right! Not many old timers round today who knew Errol! Good on yer Father, old boy! Got kicked out of 21 Club in NYC in 1983. Peed on one of the little jockey statues on the stairs outside. That was a night! I was a bit tippy!
"In 2005 the NIE said that Iran had an active Program, this was true" ...ohhhkkkk we agree
2005 NIE said Iran working on Nukes, you disagree
2007 NIE says they were wrong, they think, you agree
"Bush IGNORED the many warnings of impending attack on US soil by Bin Laden, a Saudi,(Bin Laden is a Yemmeni) and I think he allowed 9-11 to happen for his own gain" (seek help at Charter for that one)
You hoist your own petard several times in the same paragraph
The new NIE(2007) does not say they were wrong in 2005. In 2005, it says that Iran was actively PLANNING to persue a Nuke program. True. They therefore had a Nuke Program but no capability to create such a weapon. In 2007, the NIE says this planning was halted in 2003. No Nuke Program. Bush lied when he said they were persuing a Nuke after 2003 and obviously they were not capable of creating one. Yemmini or no, Bush STILL ignored all warnings about BIN LADEN.
CIA said it was a slam dunk that there was an active NUKE program, 'they had a nuke program but no capability' they had the will, the money, and the motive BUSH never said tehy had Nukes now, all all intelligence services worldwide said they had a program, heck you said they had a program.
Dont change the subject to Bin Laden, whose father immigtarted from Yemen, call it what you want, Read your own posts again, its byzantine
Osama bin Laden was born in Riyadh, in 1957. He is 17th of 52 children sired by Muhammad Bin Laden--Saudi Arabia's wealthiest construction magnate. Riyadh is the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia. Laden's nationality (Saudi) was revoked in 1994. His family roots go back to Yemin but he was born a SAUDI. Like most of the Hijackers (15) on 9-11.
Bush has successfully disarmed N Korea Libya and, dare I say, Iraq. He never said IRAQ had Nukes, just WMDs, and the desire, ability to make nukes in the future
No attacks on US soild since six months into office, Clinton said they had Nukes, guess W believed his CIA, Interpol, German and French intelligence and that notrious liar Slick Willie, who I have met
Bush Hasn't disarmed anybody. He is selling our weapons systems. He lied us into invading Iraq IGNORING the CIA, etc., who all said there were no WMD's - Bush wanted to gain political power, and oil contracts for his cronies. Bush IGNORED the many warnings of impending attack on US soil by Bin Laden, a Saudi, and I think he allowed 9-11 to happen for his own gain. He left guns and munitions by the ton for the insurgents to use against us. Will not vote for Hilary, bet you are surprised!
It goes to show you that celebrities are not necessarily the voice of reason. In the U.S. we tend to beleive and jump on whatever cause that celebrities support, and that is wrong. Flynn was completely wrong about Fidel Castro and the rebels that took over Cuba. Castro and his rebels have disregarded human rights in Cuba.
AiTuabdada... George Harrison said, "no matter who's elected, they're still politicians." Glad you like Flynn's movies! There is a new box set out - series 2. Check it out! Great films...
art4hire--thanks! I love Flynn's films. In fact, I have contributed material to two documentaries about Errol: "The Adventures of Errol Flynn" featurette, and Robert de Young's "The Fast and Furious Life of Errol Flynn". I think we agree on Errol; if not on politics in general. Bev Aadland was with Errol during the taping of this clip. Look for her upcoming HBO movie about her life with Errol called tentatively, "Sensational..."
Did you catch the NIE this week? The one that said IRAN has no Nuclear Weapons Program? The one that was suppressed by Bush so he can invade another country that did not attack us? He put his foot in his mouth THIS time and can't seem to convincingly lie his way out of this one! Congress was lied to and it is you who are not listening...
Are these the same people who wrote the 1st NIE report that said Iran working on Nukes? You now think they are creditable but didnt then? That's...illogical
No, they are not the same people. 16 spy agencies now work together thanks to reforms that Bush made. He gets caught in his own trap. Bush has had this report for the last year and is still walking around talking about how Iran is becoming a great nuclear threat to us. He was caught in a huge lie and the world knows it.
The lie is that Iran still has a Nuke program knowing they abandoned it in 2003 due to international pressure of its previously undeclared nuclear work. The previous NIE was correct, and so is this one which says they haven't had a viable program since fall 2003. Bush lied when he said he hadn't been aware of this until a week ago. War has been very profitable for his oil cronies and the Saudis where the terrorists who attacked us actualy came from.
No, it wasn't. In 2005 the Nie said that Iran had an active Program, this was true. In 2007, the NIE said the program was abandoned in 2003 while Bush continued to say it was ongoing. He lied. Simple as that.
we do not assess that Iran is immovable. THIS IS TRUE. THE ACTIVE PROGRAM WAS ONLY AN INTENTION. Only planned for. In 2007, the NIE states: Judge with high confidence that in fall 2003, Tehran halted its nuclear weapons program. THIS IS ALSO TRUE. Plans ended and Bush lied about it.
I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out my latest one on some 1930's movie star tobacco cards, including Errol Flynn, Joan Crawford, Bing Crosby, Johnny Davis, Mickey Rooney, Clark Gable, Errol Flynn, Joan Crawford...
The kinescope of this broadcast actually made Flynn look better than he did at this point in his life. I was a big fan of his as a boy and read his very controversial biography "My Wicked Wicked Ways". He was just fifty years old when this was done and looked at least ten years older...booze and cocaine....sad!
Interesting to see this now in relation to the current health of Fidel and his brother's Raul acting as President of Cuba. Flynn was duped by Castro, as much as current Hollywood celebrities are duped by liberal causes today. The only difference is that Castro was a communist and today's celebrities indorce democrats!
art4hire, I don't understand your hatred of "liberals." Liberal causes such as a clean environment, universal health care, fair elections, accountability in Government, little things like habeous corpus, freedom of speech, and individual privacy are AMERICAN issues. Democrats are today protecting your rights by holding the criminals in the current White House accountable for their actions. If anyone is duped it is you.
Art is right, I grew up in Miami and we listened to the executions on radio, 1,000s taken to the stadium and shot. Liberals seem to idolize leftist dictators(Mao, Stalin, Castro, Pol Pot) who put into practice their desire to improve humankind at the expense of individual humans
Abraham Lincoln's Republican "Libral Party" is forgotten by most Neo-cons today. It upsets them that so much of what he stood for was the same as Democrats stand for today. To say that Liberals idolize dictators is nonsense. G W Bush is the first Nazi-like dictator we have produced in America and I hope, the last...
but liberals also want to remove God from everything, break up the traditional family, have little patience for any war effort-responsible for why we can no longer win wars, keep the most vile people out of jail through the efforts of the ACLU, support flag burning, want to unilaterly disarm our country, are more supportive of our enemies than the usa (jane fonda, for example), etc etc.
Try to divorce yourself from the false images of "Liberals" and think about what actions have been taken by this Administration for the betterment of their oil buddies and corporate for profit friends and tell me if crimes are not being committed against the Constitution and We the People? Have a good day, and please, take a mental vacation from FOX NEWS. I did and I feel so much better...
Unable to respond to my valid points, you respond with a non-sequitur. Ah, the liberal mantra-'no blood for oil!'. They speak as if they never use it-that protecting oil is of no benefit to them! It is one of the most important resources. Everyone needs it, including you-not just for cars, but all petroleum products. The world economy is greatly affected by it. Oil is a valid reason for war. I get my news from the BBC and Economist.
I am unable to get more than 500 letters onto this reply by default so edited out all my valid points my friend! That was frustrating! I see you are steeped in propaganda from the far right. I miss my Republican opponents compared to the Neo-Cons. Oil is a good reason to go to war? We do not NEED oil--we are being sold that idea by oil companies. Alternatives exist but these companies don't want to loose their stranglehold on us. BBC is great, much more honest.
we don't need oil? You think oil is only used in cars? Plastics, rubber, heating etc, etc, etc. Again, you post a useless reply. A vital resource is a major justification for war. The computer you use to post your questionable messages wouldn't exist if not for oil. I'm still waiting to hear how your respond to my original post.
We don't need oil. Synthetics exist. Alternatives exist. Your original post was nonsense. Do you think China would be justified in attacking us for our oil? Apparently you do! Should Canada come down and attack our cities for oil, lumber, etc? Should they occupy us, change our Constitution to benefit their corporate interests like Bush did in Iraq? Are you okay with that because war is justified to gain vital resources? This the kind of lame brained thinking that worries me about the far Right.
Ok, you're just another idiot. LIke the one who insisted our courts were rascist because they didn't sentence jeffrey dahmner to death because he was white...until I pointed out he was convicted in wisconsin where they don't have a death penalty. You respond with emotion and not facts. You can live in your pipe dream world about oil and communism being a perfect solution. Bye.
Facts: Brookings: coal liquifaction could satisfy energy needs into 20th Century. Other sources: Soybean oil, oil sands, heavy oil woods, biomas--ethanol, hydropower, solar, gas hydrates, wind, tide power - ocean thermal energy conversion - synthetic oil has existed since the 70's. Mobil Oil has a synthetic oil product. Originated by MOTUL, a French Oil Company. Several methods produce SO from CMono and Methane, also tar oils from sand. But don't listen to me, I am the idiot here...
Well. It was fun arguing with you, pcx34. I will not be able to change your mind with facts, emotions, or logic. I accept that, reluctantly. I wish you well, however. "Do not be afraid of going slowly, be only afraid of standing still." Take care...
Taubada dont know how you got on SO but I do know alot about it, its really dirty, only answer is nuclear power, France is 80% nuke and doesnt have our balance of payments and current account problems
Ethanaol is a joke, not enough corn for 12% of our gasoline needs, even that takes more petroleum to produce than it makes in energy, cant pipeline it
interesting to see errol flynn in his last year... his charm and charisma shines through during this intriguing interview, you can see the reporters enjoyed this program as well.

In his final film Cuban Rebel Girls (1958) he appeared with his girlfriend at the time, 15-year-old "mercenary rebel" Beverly Aadland.

I guess that's why Errol was anti-Franco, opposed blacklisting and supported Castro.

No strong feelings and no staunch support or disapproval for anyone.
nicolaos777 3 years ago 3
Errol Flynn NEVER opposed (openly)blacklisting. He never joined or supported the Committee for the First Amendment, a group of 30 famous actors, who risked their careers opposing blacklisting. Actually he didn't bother. Furthermore he was never blacklisted as left-wing. On the contrary he was wrongly suspected by FBI as a hard-line Nazi (who never was), because of his friendship with Dr.Erben, (who was indeed a Nazi).
nicolaos777 3 years ago 3
Privately he was extremely opposed to the blacklist. They tried to blacklist him for his alleged draft dodging.
HarveyCartwright 3 years ago
Maybe he was in private. I'm extremely opposed to blacklist too and I strongly support full freedom of speach for all, either right wing or left wing, but I'm not leftist. As for his "draft dodging", in fact Errol did try to enlist the US army during WWII but he was rejected for health reasons(enlarged heart, painful back etc). He received public criticism (unanswered because Jack Warner wanted to hide the bad state of Flynn's health) but he wasn't blacklisted because FBI knew his bad health.
nicolaos777 3 years ago 3
Errol in his autobiography, describes his meeting with the painter Diego Rivera (who was an active Communist) in Mexico City in the mid-30's. During their meeting Flynn criticized Rivera's allegiance to the Communist Party and instead praised Salvador Dali for being politically neutral, above political parties making Rivera furious. And that's exactly what he liked about Castro, that he initially stood above any political party or ideology.
nicolaos777 3 years ago 2
Watch 'Cuban Story' a.k.a. 'The Truth About Fidel Castro', his documentary on the Cuban revolution. He supported Fidels ideals with all his heart.
vainprop 3 years ago
He did, but not out of left-wing solidarity. Flynn like most US people and officials praised Fidel Castro in the early days of the Cuban Revolution, when WAS NOT leftist-marxist, but a liberal-nationalist non-party movement. Flynn himself in January 1959 told the Press he was sure Castro was not a Communist but an Idealist and that he could guarantee it. He added humorously anybody with intelligence is a communist at 20, but anybody who is a communist at 40 is a fool.
nicolaos777 3 years ago 2
If you're interested in Errol Flynn's character, personality, beliefs etc. the best and most valid source in the world is Jack Marino who knows a hell of a lot about Errol Flynn.
He knows both his daughters and two of his wives, he has copies of all his writings and diaries and he was a close friend of late Tony Thomas, Flynn's biographer.
According to Jack Marino Errol Flynn was apolitical. He had no political convictions, other than vague, idealistic ones.
nicolaos777 3 years ago 5
@nicolaos777 He wasn't apolitical.

Errol went to the Sierra looking for free propaganda.
1959 Havana, a journalist ask him,
Q-What you brought with you when you went to "fight" ?
A- Two rolls of sanitary paper.
Liborio1902 2 years ago
We have to remember that in the early days of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro was a hero all over the world and the USA, fighting against Battista's tyranny, so Errol was seduced by Castro.
During this period Castro repeatedly denied being a communist. For example in New York on April 25he said, "I don't agree with communism. We are democracy. We are against all kinds of dictators.... That is why we oppose communism."
It wasn't until later that he adopted Communism and Soviet influence.
nicolaos777 3 years ago
Errol Flynn had to flee Cuba to avoid being executed by an angry Castro.
Shortly after Errol made the film, Cuban Story (1959), he discovered what was really the agenda of Castro and his "Revolution": Severe oppression, firing squads, torture, abuse of all civil rights and dictoral communist rule.
Errol realized he had been duped. He denounced Fidel and was almost killed before he was thrown out of the country
nicolaos777 3 years ago
Nope - Errol NEVER denounced Castro. Errol was a rebel and a left-winger all his life.

The panel is equally fascinating...
(also on youtube).
bernardshakey2 4 years ago
Fred Davis was such a consummate professional that he somehow kept his composure even when a drunk or incongruous challenger appeared on the show. The attractive brunette panelist was Toby Robins, who went on to a successful acting career in Britain before dying of cancer in 1986, aged 55.

Flynn died eight months after this at age 50. The man was the quintessential hedonist -- loved booze, coke, women, men, adventure, sailing and a good joke. RIP.
freestuffffff 4 years ago
Wow, coke? I don't recall hearing that about him, but I wouldn't doubt it. I love Errol's films AND his life story. He certainly lived it on his own terms but, as a consequence, he died much too soon.

dont look to Errol Flynn as a foreign policy expert, he was screwing a 16 year old Cuban girl making the movie: "Cuban Rebel Girls"
She was the star
HisMajestyOKeefe 4 years ago

HisMajestyOKeefe 4 years ago
The new NIE(2007) does not say they were wrong in 2005. In 2005, it says that Iran was actively PLANNING to persue a Nuke program. True. They therefore had a Nuke Program but no capability to create such a weapon. In 2007, the NIE says this planning was halted in 2003. No Nuke Program. Bush lied when he said they were persuing a Nuke after 2003 and obviously they were not capable of creating one. Yemmini or no, Bush STILL ignored all warnings about BIN LADEN.
AiTaubada 4 years ago

IF it was 'suppressed' how did it get out?
Bush has successfully disarmed N Korea Libya and, dare I say, Iraq. He never said IRAQ had Nukes, just WMDs, and the desire, ability to make nukes in the future
No attacks on US soild since six months into office, Clinton said they had Nukes, guess W believed his CIA, Interpol, German and French intelligence and that notrious liar Slick Willie, who I have met
HisMajestyOKeefe 4 years ago

Israel doesnt buy it,
Are these the same people who wrote the 1st NIE report that said Iran working on Nukes? You now think they are creditable but didnt then? That's...illogical
HisMajestyOKeefe 4 years ago
No, they are not the same people. 16 spy agencies now work together thanks to reforms that Bush made. He gets caught in his own trap. Bush has had this report for the last year and is still walking around talking about how Iran is becoming a great nuclear threat to us. He was caught in a huge lie and the world knows it.
AiTaubada 4 years ago
The lie is that Iran still has a Nuke program knowing they abandoned it in 2003 due to international pressure of its previously undeclared nuclear work. The previous NIE was correct, and so is this one which says they haven't had a viable program since fall 2003. Bush lied when he said he hadn't been aware of this until a week ago. War has been very profitable for his oil cronies and the Saudis where the terrorists who attacked us actualy came from.
AiTaubada 4 years ago
The Iranians deny they ever had a Nukes program! So who do you believe, Iran or US? Or do you make up your own reality?
you cant pick and choose from diametrically opposed POVs to push your view
(well, you can, but its not good debate form)
The current and past NIE's were both correct?
The US NIE report, released Monday, was a sharp turnaround from a previous intelligence assessment in 2005
HisMajestyOKeefe 4 years ago
No, it wasn't. In 2005 the Nie said that Iran had an active Program, this was true. In 2007, the NIE said the program was abandoned in 2003 while Bush continued to say it was ongoing. He lied. Simple as that.
AiTaubada 4 years ago
2005: Assess with high confidence that Iran
currently is determined to develop nuclear
weapons despite its international
obligations and international pressure, but
we do not assess that Iran is immovable.

Interesting to see this now in relation to the current health of Fidel and his brother's Raul acting as President of Cuba. Flynn was duped by Castro, as much as current Hollywood celebrities are duped by liberal causes today. The only difference is that Castro was a communist and today's celebrities indorce democrats!
art4hire 5 years ago
art4hire, I don't understand your hatred of "liberals." Liberal causes such as a clean environment, universal health care, fair elections, accountability in Government, little things like habeous corpus, freedom of speech, and individual privacy are AMERICAN issues. Democrats are today protecting your rights by holding the criminals in the current White House accountable for their actions. If anyone is duped it is you.
AiTaubada 4 years ago
Art is right, I grew up in Miami and we listened to the executions on radio, 1,000s taken to the stadium and shot. Liberals seem to idolize leftist dictators(Mao, Stalin, Castro, Pol Pot) who put into practice their desire to improve humankind at the expense of individual humans
HisMajestyOKeefe 4 years ago
Abraham Lincoln's Republican "Libral Party" is forgotten by most Neo-cons today. It upsets them that so much of what he stood for was the same as Democrats stand for today. To say that Liberals idolize dictators is nonsense. G W Bush is the first Nazi-like dictator we have produced in America and I hope, the last...
AiTaubada 4 years ago
but liberals also want to remove God from everything, break up the traditional family, have little patience for any war effort-responsible for why we can no longer win wars, keep the most vile people out of jail through the efforts of the ACLU, support flag burning, want to unilaterly disarm our country, are more supportive of our enemies than the usa (jane fonda, for example), etc etc.

I get my news from the BBC and Economist.
pcx34 4 years ago
I am unable to get more than 500 letters onto this reply by default so edited out all my valid points my friend! That was frustrating! I see you are steeped in propaganda from the far right. I miss my Republican opponents compared to the Neo-Cons. Oil is a good reason to go to war? We do not NEED oil--we are being sold that idea by oil companies. Alternatives exist but these companies don't want to loose their stranglehold on us. BBC is great, much more honest.
AiTaubada 4 years ago
we don't need oil? You think oil is only used in cars? Plastics, rubber, heating etc, etc, etc. Again, you post a useless reply. A vital resource is a major justification for war. The computer you use to post your questionable messages wouldn't exist if not for oil. I'm still waiting to hear how your respond to my original post.
pcx34 4 years ago
We don't need oil. Synthetics exist. Alternatives exist. Your original post was nonsense. Do you think China would be justified in attacking us for our oil? Apparently you do! Should Canada come down and attack our cities for oil, lumber, etc? Should they occupy us, change our Constitution to benefit their corporate interests like Bush did in Iraq? Are you okay with that because war is justified to gain vital resources? This the kind of lame brained thinking that worries me about the far Right.
