Hovering Plane - Sick Science!

Yep, can see the fishing line or string cross his rear thumb as he lowers the plane at 00:34-00:35. Hard to see on the small vid, but make it full screen and it's obvious. Thought this was supposed to be science, not cheap 'magic' tricks.

i guess it happens cuz 1 fan is blowing forward and the other 1 is going opposite so it has no choise to stay put because the 2 winds are putting it in hold

If you were to draw a vector model of this, you would see that the plane is in equilibrium of the two forces from the fans.

Unless you have taken physics, you would know that this a small scale model representing two opposite force vectors intersecting with the plane at dead center, and due to the paper's mass, it's light enough below the wind speed of the two fans. Thus, it hovers. Why don't you guys listen to your science classes and believe that things like the moon landing are real? It's just advanced science. LEARN IT.

The Bernoulli principle is responsible for this.

The air from the fan the plane is facing is keeping the plane up and pushing it back while the air from the fan behind the plane is pushing the plane forward which stops it from moving at all.

I have a more detailed explanation, but Youtube only allows so many characters. The obvious question about tilt bank and pivot I answered as 'aerodynamic'. This is a simplification.

I think about it like this:

-The plane is aerodynamic, so it will align with the stream of the fan pointing at it's pointy end. It can't go anywhere

-Now this explains why the plain stays horizontal, but NOT why gravity cannot catch it, but think about this: The air is rushing in from both sides. The air streams collide and have to go somewhere. They cannot go down, because they will hit the table. They move outward and UP! And that's why the plane doesn't fall on the table.
