Wait...00:42: Already, there's a problem. Street Fighter came out in 1987. This game takes place in 2010. 2010 minus 25 years=Ken would have been in the Street Fighter tournament back in 1985.
@RocMegamanX It kinda makes since though, in Ken's SFII bio, it's shows that his DOB was 2-14-1965, if that is true, then the last SF tourney he won was held in 1985 (SF year, not game release year) and Ken was 20 at the time. Which means he should be at age 45 in this game. One minor problem though, in the 1st SF, Ken was merely a teenager (age 17 maybe) so the SF tourney he won in 1985 couldn't had been the 1st SF (to which Ryu won), it maybe the 4th since SF Alpha and SFIV wasn't a tourney.
@blueswan1984 I don't even know what year each Street Fighter game is supposed to take place in, though, let alone Alpha. Also, I thought Alpha took place BETWEEN 1 and 2.
But that still raises the question: When on God's green earth did Ken learn about bionics and cybernetic enhancements?!
You know, the Japanese version made MUCH more sense.
@RocMegamanX Alpha did took place between 1 & 2 and 4 took place between 2 & 3 though Capcom never give specific date or year for each timeline of events. The previous comment I made could only be true if you accept Street Fighter 2010: The Final Fight as canon to the actual Street Fighter series. In Japan, SF 2010 had nothing to do with Street Fighter or Final Fight. I assume that perhaps by 2010, hand to hand street fighting may had been over populated by bionic cybernetic street fighting.
A solid game but sadly it's reputation was ruined because they tried to capitalize SF2's arcade success on the home market. Also, my hat down to Valis77 : you managed not only to beat the last stage, but with time to spare too!
I just remembered in the japanese version the real name is Kevin Striker (not William Striker which I made a mistake...so ignore my last comment about the main characters name lol)
The faults I see is the game title itself as well as the character names which seemed that they tried to tie together with Street Fighter even though it had no reference to Street Fighter.... for example.... the main character's name is ken where in Japan, the real name is William Striker (if memory serves me well).
Ive found this out when watching AVGN reviewing Street Fighter 2010
the game was ok on its own,but didn't had abslutely anything to do with sf...i think that it would have got main recognition if they didn0t tried so hard to slap the sf name on it
it's not really a Street Fighter game at all, and that guy was named "Kevin" in the original version, not Ken. They just renamed the game and the character for the US release in order to catch the SF2 craze that was going on at the time. So you're not really playing as Ryu *or* Ken, and there was never a chance of being able to use any of their trademark moves.
AVGN actually beat this game. He also loathed the unreasonable difficulty. The game is only enjoyable to play with auto-fire, otherwise it is just an extreme test of your patience.
lol this game was shown by the AVGN and i think it looks okay . but i hate it that u play ken and not ryu . >=( would be more awesome if can make shoryuken ,hadoken and other attacks of ryu. =3

Certainly a shot from Capcom to see if Magaman would work...

It's a decent game, but it could have done without using the Street Fighter name.

9:18 I love how this game lets you just *barely* escape certain doom below the bottom edge of the screen.

Back in the day, I would've never thought that in the year 2010 I would see this game completed in perfection...

lol, they needed to sell an unknown game, so they used SF name? And named a random guy Ken? Epic!!!

I have a same feelings toward this game as I have toward Shinobi PS2 game:
It looks really cool, but it's damn hard. When you manage to pull some moves it looks awesome.
Thanks for playing this Valis77. :)
This game is neat to watch.

It's not that hard. As a matter of fact, I'd say the difficulty's the opposite of unreasonable for a game of its length. (It's reasonable.)
