  • That being said, 2232 is a good local. I remeber the BA when I worked down that way....named eddie something....hell of a guy. And the local hands were knowledgable and hard working.

  • I used to work out of the Union. I did an apprenticeship and carried a card for fifteen years.

    I left because 1. I didnt want to travel anymore. 2. the whining and bitching.

    Every monthly meeting the same guys are down at the hall with tears in their eyes, bitchin and whining because they can't get any work. And some us worked all the time

    I realized, if your good at what you do, you have no problem finding work, recession, no recession, doesnt matter to me.

    For the rest, theres the union hall

  • Millwrights are the jack of all trades. We work on just about anything that moves or moves a product. The UBC does have millwrights that work in the saw and paper mills around the country. What is shown in the video is just a fraction of the types of work we perform.

  • My dad is a saw mill millwright, and he does nothing like this.
