i did this when i was 18 and again at a tattoo convention when i was about 20, i knew they wouldnt last but i did it for fun and back then dermals werent around, i want to get them done again someday and with the proper jewlery, and ACTUALLy when i did them both times they stayed in for about 2 months before rejecting, and i kept them very clean and never had infections, CAM did a great job he is a talented amazing pircer and artist.<3 thank you for all the kind comments! The piercing is beautiful, but the piercer is an idiot. How long did that last before rejecting? He should have used surface bars, teflon or tygon. CBRs are too tight for surface piercing.

put the pointer finger of your needle hand on the exit hole of the piercing when you insert the ring. that way you wont have to jerk it through, and it will come out the other side pretty easily.

Actually Cynth3tik, they lasted almost 2 years, and Cam used CBR's initially because we were going to a convention and its what we had to work with.. when we did it again at Inkslingers in anaheim a couple months ago, Cam used D-rings, which have a much lower rejection rate :) Combining the D-rings with the tougher-scar-tissue from the first session, they have been showing real promise of longevity. :)
