  • name of the song please?

  • funny how the nations biggest employer and worlds largest retailer give its employeed a food sstamp application with its employment paper work - you think they want to end that program lol - capitalism is almost as brutal as they fuedalism and slavery from which it arose if unregulated - and is responsible for the goverment needing to help people - if had worked to the bennifit of all - it wouldnt be regulated at all - it doesnt work

  • RON PAUL 2012

  • Normally I wouldn't watch these, but that music is kickass, so thanks!

  • I'd like to know why Herbert Hoover wasn't included in this. Thomas Sowell demonstrated in Basic Economics that Hoover began the age of interventionism. FDR only followed in his footsteps and moved with greater speedy and aggression toward central planning of the US economy. Is not Hoover at least partially to blame for our current morass? Shouldn't the US Federal Reserve Act also be included in this? And how about the Wilson administration?

  • I should amend my first post. Hoover didn't begin interventionism per se, but did he not introduce Keynesian style interventionism?

  • You may be headed to Hell in a hand basket

  • More deficit hysteria nonsense!

If we stopped lettting banks do whatever they wanted, we wouldn't even be talking about this!

Financial liberalization is the main culprit.

  • @MiltonAugustoPinoche ....too big to fail is dangerous. If Goldman Sachs did what MF GLobbal did......we'd have to bail them out because their implosion would cause financial catastrophe.

  • @MiltonAugustoPinoche That is, if the deregulation of banks actually caused this crisis. :/

Besides, the Federal Reserve gets most of their business from the government's 1.3 trillion deficit. The banks get their money from the Federal Reserve simply ordering to print money. This is why the US federal government is able to spent like this: They've got this power over a private bank to print whatever they hell they want.

  • It's just too easy to spend OTHER people's money and waste THEIR future with debt!

  • Hang Obamma and all the DC trash! SAVE AMERICA!

  • This video goes by awfully quickly, but what I get out of it is that Ike was a Democrat at heart. He governed with an eye on the 99%, not the top 1%. He kept tax rates on the super-rich high, and America experienced unprecedented growth. Better yet, income inequality was relatively low. If only all Republicans were like Democrats, we would not be in such a mess today.

  • @MortimerTheClueless I guess you don't understand the message in this video?

  • @MortimerTheClueless Don't forget that many years with high tax rates on the rich started under Hoover and expanded under FDR, the country had unprecedented economic disaster, with massive debt to boot. The top tax rate has been up and down in the last 70 years but the revenues collected by the treasury have remained pretty stable.

And who says you have to govern towards either the 1% or the 99% as if those two are somehow in conflict?

  • You know what would be crazy! What if during all thsi time our country was on the rise and life expentancy as well as quality went up! we had HUGE advances in technology! People were able to eat in our country! Wait what if... what if... we just forgave the debt at the end. And realized. Its about making life better. Not paying a huge debt but helping th emost of us. Not lowering wages so we can be like china... But do what europes doing forgiving 50 percent of the debt...?

  • @3:52 where it says Regan lowered taxes. LOL He actually increased taxes 11 times during his presidency.

  • U know, the problem isn't the presidents. its the Congress. They are the whores that have to get reelected every 2 years and bring back the goods to their electorate.

  • Incredible!

  • This is why we need to vote for Ron Paul in the republican primaries and the next presidential election.

  • were all in debt to corporations. Who is the U.S govt having to pay that money to? Corporations, rather it be for the health care services, to the companies that supply the equipment and supplies for wars, or when we have to pay for the projects that the govt wants to do for infrastructure, corporations charge everyone a ton due to make the most money.

  • @rehsa2194 Of course, in the real world, private companies have the audacity to provide more products and services at lower prices (particularly benefiting the poor) than at any time in human history while providing the opportunities that have employed (and continue to employ) millions upon millions. Ooooooo, those rat bastards! The government picking winners and losers (and wasting 30% to 60% of our money in the process) is the problem.

  • Let's all fight the tea party and prosperity will be back in America.

  • @TheCBGBoy How will "fighting the tea party" undo the government intervention and spending that created the problem in the first place?

  • If the US goes bankrupt, can I have all cheeseburgers in storage. Would be cool...

  • If you break it down with the 2010 Cenius data every american that is alive owes over 48,000 dollars. Thats more then most of the population makes in a year (almost what I make in 2). I can not believe my parents and grandparents were so blind and continue to do be led as sheep to the slaughter. Vote for Ron Paul in 2012.

  • I'm not paying this. This is stupid.

  • Excellent video! What is the name of the background beat? Great choice.

  • Holy shit!!! Brilliant design!!! Amazing typography!!! It's like a roller coaster for graphic designers!

  • @ Kutai123, WWII was a pretext to go to war. It was ORCHESTRATED by our US government. Learn YOUR shit!

  • The Great Depression was not caused by capitalism and market failures as the public school system likes to tell us.

It was caused by the Federal Reserve and their unchecked power over our currency. Learn your shit people...

  • look at like this- the banking cartel elite with there ill gotten gain from the tarp bailouts, do not like the idea of having to pay higher "TAX'S --- SO IN CONCLUSION WOULD IT NOT BENEFIT THE RICH ELITE TO CUT DOWN THE SIZE OF GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS .

It's one way they can prevent having to pay their fair share !

  • @tlfettled The rich elite don't pay taxes. The middle to middle upper class pays most of the taxes. The elite have lawyers to find loopholes and send lobbyists to Washington to not pay taxes. They use the gov't to convince the sheeple that we need the gov't to survive. The bigger the gov't the more they can control us.

  • We def. need to adjust gov. spending, we need to regulate the free market much more and kick free trade in the ass, to take care of all problems.

  • @101Politricks are you retarded?

  • @101Politricks Well that was done a long time ago. The managed economy has been in effect the entire last century. "Free trade" has not existed for decades, only centralized, top-down, heavy-handed regulated trade under control of the elite overlords. So your dream came true. Happy?

  • At least under Reagan the USA got F-14s and M1s and B1b bombers.

  • Great video man:D

  • Bread and Circuses...

  • The scary thing is, as that number of dollars per household was expanding, so too was the population. Very nice video!

  • The economy goes to the final round, but gets knocked the eff out by a hard Obama, Bush left, right combination!

  • I like this video it makes me feel safer about government spending. Inflation it's only not a bad thing when you are a rich republican against government spending and taxes. That way you can complain about government spending.

  • @RememberTheMemory That comment proved how ignorant you are. Massive spending effects EVERYONE!

  • @XxlivinwithitxX YEAH IN A GOOD WAY! I am sure you have cracked open a history book and can explain why I am ignorant. I have a good reason why you are, you just listen to a youtube video based on many great U.S. presidents and think oh government spending is a bad thing. Well guess what the U.S. government is borrowing money from itself!!! Sure we can borrow money from other coutries, but in the long run, it borrows money from itself to pay things off.

  • @RememberTheMemory Spending is not necessarily bad, but when spending becomes out of control (Think past 11 years) spending becomes the enemy. The answer to the recession was not spend like madmen, but let the market be. That's how it should be, and the government wouldn't be in such trouble if it had. Watch "Meltup" on here, it'll teach you something. And hahahahah you're ignorant because for some reason think inflation hurts only the rich? What are you smoking? The US borrows from itself?

  • @RememberTheMemory It is a bad thing for the rich, it just does not hurt them as bad as the middle class and below. The poorest will suffer the most during an inflation, but it does as well affect the rich.

  • I love how everybody kisses Reagans ass because he was a fiscal conservative. Nobody seems to remember he was the first one to REALLY increase spending. Those who followed him simply kept the trend up.

  • Probably one of the best free market videos I have seen on YouTube. You have a talent, sir, and I really hope you keep up the good work. I have embedded this video to my political blog... Again, blown away. Great job... I want more.

  • interesting video. Ask the beneficiaries of these programs if they hate their goverment spending on them.

  • I'd like to see the debt video at this current date

  • I Love the video ! sending it to friends too!

  • wow, what can i say.Vid speaks volumes...very nice job

  • You fail to make it clear to the "regular folk" that Congress spends the money, not the President. "Regular folk" tend to lay blame at the feet of who ever is in the White House and not the Congress.

If the American taxpayer wants their government to spend less, then they need to vote in conservatives to the House and Senate.

  • If you want to reduce the size of government get rid organizations like the FDA. Who cares what they put in our food or drugs :)

  • @Drummerwithagroove

What a completely ignorant comment. Your just some easily duped coward ready to sacrifice anything to a man in a suit promising to protect you from an evil phantasmic "they" created by your fear of the unknown.

  • @PumpkinJoe999 its called sarcasm genius, obama said this during the healthcare summit/ debate.

  • Whats the name of the Song?

  • Amen brother! I'm so tired of red team/blue team nonsense. Fact is it will take someone outside the standard Demepublican paradigm (like Ron Paul or Peter Schiff) to disarm this timebomb that we are all sitting on.

    Peace be with you.

  • Fabulous video! Id be shocked if this doesnt go viral. Im sending it to all my friends. What software did you use to make this video?

  • Thanks. I only re-posted the video made by YouTuber bankruptingpa. Please see more info.

  • Would you happen to know the song used in the video?

  • @guppygirl77 SOMETIMES IS NOT WORTH RESTORE BUT DESTROY AND BUILD AGAIN DIFFERENT WAY - FAIRER

  • Great editing and graphic design, but I can't read that fast.

  • too fast to read but love the design!!!!

  • Agreed it's too quick to read. Just like the bills they pass in congress ;)

  • adjusted for inflation thats what I was thinking.. thanks guys

  • whats up with the debt totals from FDR and Reagan.. They dont seem to be right.. FDR had $3 trillion in debt?? Not from anything Im aware of.. Can anybody provide some information on this?

  • Maybe adjusted for inflation?

  • $16.2 Billion in 1930 = $207 Billion inflation adjusted. $250 Billion in 1945 = $2.96 Trillion in 2008. So, inflation adjusted, Roosevelt increased the debt by about $2.7 trillion to almost $3 Trillion.

  • @ralree He got us out of the depression and fought and won World War fucking two. Of course the deficit increased, wars cost a shit load. Cmon bro this is elementary school shit.

  • Excellent presentation!
