Paul Heyman was an annoying announcer and an annoying manager but as a writer/director/booker, there hasn't been anybody better in the WWE in the last 10 years. When he was head writer on Smackdown during 2002-2004, the product was great. Less trainwreck/Jerry Springer style TV and more pure wrestling and more realistic storylines. I still don't understand why he was relieved of his duties as writer.
