I love how true Yow is being to the recorded vocals for the studio track. Easily one of his awesomest and sickest studio performances. Very Patton-esque. Can't believe its taken me until 2011 to fall for this band.

Saw them 3 times, David was really drunk each time. It amazed me the rest of the band seemed totally indifferent to what he was up to, which was usually getting sweaty with the crowd. He ended up completely naked at least once!

It's so hard to find a band who are both tight as fuck live and fearless of exploring new boundaries in the punk rock sense of said boundaries both lyrically and musically. Even harder is to find a tv show with the balls to put JL on air. Yow didn't do the twisty thing with his dick though, must've been in the contract he signed.

I've just noticed how much a "complete band" they are, like no instrument, even the vocals are more important than the others, each section links with the others, no fancy guitar riffs or vocal acrobatics, you take out any part and the song's almost unrecogniseable, it goes for 99% of their songs.

Like other bands you get the impression that the bass was stuck on after the song was written, or the drums are just there to keep rythem, but JL just HOMOLOGISE

Yeah. We've played with Qui twice now. I'm sorry to hear that Yow is ailing. Maybe he'll have to quit smoking. I was talking about the last time I saw him (David). Despite all that, there's NO WAY that Qui comes CLOSE to the intensity of the crappiest Jesus Lizard show I've ever been to, including the ones without Mac on drums. Qui is still a solid outfit, and I hope Mr. Yow makes a speedy recovery. mUdHoNeY forevz!
