"Evolution is a fairy tale for grown-ups. This theory has helped nothing in the progress of science. It is useless." Professor Louis Bounoure, Director of Research, National Center of Scientific Research.
Nice job for bringing up a quote from a guy who was never the director of anything. This guy was completely made up. Try fact-checking before taking quotes from Kent Hovind. (Hint: Never a good idea- Hovind is a liar and a criminal)
The real quote is from Jean Rostand, who was talking about something else.
In other words, the quote is completely wrong. Even if it was real, the vast, vast, consensus is that evolution provides the most logical explanation for how life has developed.
Evolution isnt about making predictions eh ? well i can agree to that because evolution theory is scienism , using science to push a fairy tale , just like extremeists religious people who use religion same cloud ruining the name. So i'll help you out .
Change in the gene pool of a population from generation to generation by such processes as mutation, natural selection, and genetic drift.
Evolution, I repeat, is not about "guessing" what will happen. Scientists can do that, but that's simply more than just evolution. Maybe scientist could use their knowledge *about* evolution to guess how organisms might evolve, but there's a *big* difference there.
@Matthus8888 "evolution I repeat is not about guessing"
Who said anything abut guessing ? Do you have any clue what a prediction is ? Do you even know the basics of science ? can you please google scientific method please and ty =) WHy are you trolling around ? Why beat around the bush lool , who said anything about guessing ? Are we talking science here or sandbox games?
Ok, prediction is a slightly more sophisticated form of guessing. Are you serious? You're parsing words, ignoring evidence, and asking pointless questions and calling *me* trolling?
I've responded to each and every one of your questions but you've yet to respond to mine. I think we've established who has a legitimate argument here.
Prediction: A prediction is a statement or claim that a particular event will occur in the future in more certain terms than a forecast.
Notice that bit about the "future." For the last time, evolution is not about making predictions, i.e. about the future. It is a process that explains speciation.
@Matthus8888 I asked very simply , and you've failed again , dont waste my time. Please google scientific method and what predictions are in science good day troll=)
Yeah, nice talking to you. Glad you could take the topic off evidence for evolution and into the realm of scientific inquiry. Related, yes, but still dodging the question entirely.
Also, you've yet to respond to the mountains of evidence I've linked hyperlinked to.
Evolution is a *process* not a prediction. I can't put it any more simply than that. You can argue that point, but there's no reason. You're wrong- the definition's right there for you.
I challenge you to respond to the DNA evidence, fossil records, and observed macro-evolution. Stop turning a blind eye to evidence.
@Matthus8888 Predict me the next speciation based on the enivormental factors that trigger the mutation through natural selection which makes new information in the genome , please dont troll, you've already messed up once this is your last chance to say something intelligent =) I'll let the mistake about the pridictions in science slide =p but thats only cause im a nice guy =) Now stop trolling and answer
Why the hell are you asking me to predict the "next speciation? Why does asking a non-scientist about future adaptations have to do with the legitimacy of evolution? You've strayed so far off topic that it's hard to believe you honestly believe you're making sense.
No, you try reigning in this conversation and try responding legitimately to the arguments made about evolution. Start with transitional fossils, let's say. I'm going to have to assume you're trolling soon.

Im glad its called the theory of evolution , but just because its the only scientific method shows me science has not caught up to the logisitics of life so they must stick with this theory till death do us part , and sadly that dips into sciencism and thats when it gets ugly =*(
It's called the "theory" of evolution because it makes testable predictions, is supported by many independent strands of evidence, and is the best explanation for the diversity of life. If it were just a hunch, just speculation, it'd be called the "hypothesis" of evolution.
How can you make a testable prediction off a mechinism that deals slight mutations over a long period of time depending on its enviroment , the factors involved in making predictions for upcoming species ??do you know how many trillions of enviromental factors there are?? so tell me how will u make testable perdictions??/
"How can you make a testable prediction off a mechinism that deals slight mutations over a long period of time "
Many different ways. Look at the fossil record. If evolution is valid, you will see fewer and less-complex fossils the further back in time you go. You can also map the emergence of traits, for example the appearance of 4-limbs. Many, many other ways.
Evolution isn't about making predictions. It's about how we evolved into what we are, through the selection of better alleles by natural processes, etc. If you don't understand that last sentence, look up evolution on Wikipedia. It's far from untested. It's very, very, very close to a fact.
of course ! anyone who goes against the darwinism doctrine they must either be christian , those holocust deniers , or the moon landing deniers , damn tin foil wearing hat dillusional people!. doesnt matter what there credentials are anyone against evolution theory is simply krazy and doesnt look at the facts right =p there are other molecular biologists who dont agree with it but to afraid to come out the video expelled shows us that nice :D lemme guess that video bs?
I agree. Though I can't be 100% sure of the theory of Evolution, I am 99.9999% sure it is the correct theory. It is the MOST convincing so far, supported with evidence. Those people need to come out of their cribs and stop acting like babies.

1-Ask a Question
2-Do Background Research
3-Construct a Hypothesis
4-Test Your Hypothesis by Doing an Experiment
5-Analyze Your Data and Draw a Conclusion
6-Communicate Your Results
Now can you guess where making predictions goes?

Ok, this is irrelevant.
The definition of evolution is as follows:
Change in the gene pool of a population from generation to generation by such processes as mutation, natural selection, and genetic drift.
