yeah, I'm down to end the fed. but open it up to the free market? hardly. that "free market" is whats imprisoning our population, destroying our planet & killing in the name of.
There is no evidence that capitalism exists today. We are deeply involved in an interventionist-planned economy that allows major benefits to accrue to the politically connected of both political parties. One may condemn the fraud and the current system, but it must be called by its proper names — Keynesian inflationism, interventionism, and corporatism. RON PAUL, speech, U.S. House of Representatives, Jul. 9, 2002
@wearelegion3258 If we had the free market working we would not use paper money that is manipulated and lets the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. We would have constitutional money
Deposit insurance will cause hyperonflation because under a bank run it will require the FDIC to call up the fed to print more money. Of course the fed will already be on it. Then the people have huge inflation and deposit all the money again. Within days we will have hyperinflation when prices catch up
If we end central banking fractional reserve lending will end. It doesn't work with private banks because they have no one to bail them out when they declare bankruptcy when someone deposits a check at another bank and the second bank cannot get the real assets transferred (because they never exist)
If you really want to understand inflation and interest rates etc. (and you're like me, who didn't really understand), google "hmscoop.com". Real quick cut to the chase website about inflation and banking. Takes about 5 minutes to read through, but you'll understand it afterwards and understand what people like Ron Paul talk about all the time.
It's funny how I used to listen to those "kooky" 1
Am talk radio conspiracy shows about the Fed Reserve being this evil entity many years ago...nobody else talked about it in the mainstream media. Now slowly people are finding out the reality of it all. People tend to dismiss these "conspiracy theorist" pretty quickly like they are some tinfoil wearing morons...maybe they should start questioning and educating themselves.
@UBSCARED Somehow I don't think that's the argument. What he's saying is that when you have out of control spending and the debt ceiling continues to rise then the only way to pay for this is to dilute the money supply. Which is effectively a tax on the middle class and the poor because by the time inflation sets in the money is worth less. The rich at the top have had plenty of time to turn their cash into hard assets. Then the people demand more money but it never makes up for the loss.
Abolish the private jewish federal reserve.Since 1913 they have destroy the country. They have create wars, depressions and brought poverty to America, their final goal in total destruction.
Read this book for free on internet to understand all the problem America is facing.
Ron Paul is right! For the simplest, clearest explanation yet of how of money defrauds us, watch the YouTube video WHY WE ARE IN SO MUCH DEBT. Slow, but very informative and enlightening.
It's not the people, it's the powers in washington. They dont want him in because the power will be given back to the people and the country would turn around, then they couldn't slip back after he was gone. He is the only man i would vote for, the rest are loosers and crooks.
Think of the absurdity of our banking system. The Fed has no limits on creation of new money. Banks can expand whatever the Fed creates by 9x.
When this obviously causes booms and busts, the solution then is to regulate people, force taxpayers to insure deposits, and bailout banks when they get in trouble.
But never, EVER, look to the Fed and credit creation as a possible problem.
Each bank failure above is costing savers (those with liquid assets) about $500 million each due to deficit spending. That money could be kept in the hands of the middle class (those that work) rather than bankers (those that steal).
Joe Kernan is a complete ass who tried in the end to make fun of Ron Paul who has more common sense in his little finger than Kernan has in his noodle.
But that's CNBC for you. Though on 12/15 they were listening to Ron spellbound on CNBC

When he came around Chicago during his presidential campaign days, i was at the rally and it was great. I agree I can listen to him for that long because it's intriguing how he puts the bits and pieces all together and is able to get to the bigger picture and the root of the problem(s)
@ 1:25.can anyone briefly explain what the problem is with "artificially low interest rates" how they differ from @ 5:26 "market interest rates" the market does not flow freely because of regualation in order to collect revenue
this mentality is seen in how to fix global warming through carbon tax
we can't even define a dollar @ 7:36 that's right. gold standard is oil and energy standard now.and weapons
how about food, shelter, freedom from taxation without representation/REALstandard
the natural interest rate is determined by the amount of savings in the market - how "cheap" money is. less savings (supply), more loans (demand) - higher interest rate.
Today, you got the Fed creating by itself, the central bank, the interest rate. that is a lot of power, and really meddle with the markets and creates lot of problems (like the housing boom).
Ron Paul is the only politician who can actually discuss policy and know what he's talking about without pulling out some BS statistic that means nothing.
Rand Paul his son can continue what his father is currently attempting to do. if he does get into office, i hope he wont let the Rockefeller, Rothschild and the people at bank of Rome intimidate him. like they did with Obama. im in my early 20s, and i can clearly see almost everything that blind people can't.
The power elite brainwash the great number of simple minded individuals, as if they were herding sheep. Unfortunately, there are only so many of us that are able to see past it; only so many of us that are capable of comprehending Ron Paul's true greatness and his aspiring ideals. It was an absolute tragedy that he could not become our president. I hope we can help him win it in 2012.
There's too much corporate power backing other candidates. The people who control all the wealth and power have nothing to gain from backing Ron Paul; in fact, many of them lobby against Paul because they stand to lose their power. Ron Paul gets the majority of his support from the American middle class, who unfortunately, don't have as much sway in politics as the military-industrial complex. We may see the day when citizens must take up arms against their corrupt leadership.
RON PAUL IS THE ONLY CHOICE. Obama already stated: Who am I to question the Federal Reserve. This translate to: I am going to let the Federal Reserve do what is wants to do.

@JimGraham1973 Even if they do, they will find some way to make sure he doesn't win. Actually the whole system of delegates and super delegates was added to skew elections regardless of the popular vote.
Please let's help get him elected - go online and change your party affiliation to REPUB today ! Therea re 18 states that are closed/semi closed primary states -if you are a DEM (and I know many of his supporters are) you will NOT be able to vte RP in the CRITICAL primary which secures the nomination( or not) -that's not the case in open primary states or in the Nov. election but don't take a chance on a "loophole"-please change to Repub today & pass it on.
