  • Taken from the 1995 VHS of the children's story Cinderella part of the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection series.

Pocahontas (Early prints have the 1989 Walt Disney Classics logo and later prints have the Masterpiece Logo

  • Old Yeller 1997 VHS does have the Masterpiece Logo on the Film Classics VHS Collection

  • @KilliansUniverse The Rescuers??

  • @iluvlittleshop921 The Rescuers have the logo!

  • @KilliansUniverse Actually, later prints of The Black Cauldron do have this logo with the feature presentation logo.

  • Didn't anyone think this logo was a litttle scary?

  • Masterpiece Collection Logo on releases like

    Pooh's Grand Adventure

    Old Yeller 40th Anniversary

    Pinocchio 60th Anniversary 1999

  • Rff

  • didnt this start snow white too...good grief im not that old..am i? this is amazing i still remember this

  • Taken from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Three Caballeros, Melody Time, Fun and Fancy Free, Dumbo, Robin Hood, Pinocchio 1999 VHS(early prints, later prints don't have it), The Rescuers, Mary Poppins, The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad, as well as Pooh's Grand Adventure: The Search for Christopher Robin(as a result of a processing error).

  • This was on my Sleeping Beauty 1997 VHS.

  • actually, the last releases in the WDMC were Robin Hood and Allice In Wonderland, both release on July 13 after Ichabod. However, ichabod was the last new release in the line, as both the other movie were release previously as part of the collection.

  • Guys, when you get older, most things change who say this was better. It's true. Plus little kids like the new stuff.

  • Back when Walt Disney was good, now he's overrated!

  • This was also from The Adventures of The Great Mouse Detective 1999 VHS (which was the last film in the Masterpiece Collection before Pinocchio).

  • @bloodshotclam Actually, the 1999 VHS of The Great Mouse Detective wasn't released in the Masterpiece Collection, so it doesn't have this logo.

  • @Gabrielkat Aw, come on!!!!!!!

  • @Gabrielkat But during the opening to Ichabod and Mr Toad VHS, I saw a preview for the Masterpiece Collection of The Great Mouse Detective.

  • This Dosen't Appear On the 1995 VHS Of The Lion King (though it did appear on the laserdisc of the movie), The 1998 VHS Of The Little Mermaid, the Copies of The Black Cauldron 1998 VHS with the Feature Program Logo, The 1999 VHS Of Mulan Or The 1999 VHS Of 101 Dalmatians.

  • @videolover1999isback Yes it did appeared on the The Lion King 1995 VHS, not the laserdisc version. I check the opening, and this stupid logo is there before the Green Format Screen.

  • Back when Disney was all about Magic

  • This was also taken from the Lion King.

  • @bloodshotclam It's only on the laserdisc version.

  • No, some VHS copies have it too.

  • @videolover1999isback No, the VHS version, not the Laserdisc.

  • This is back when Disney was good instead of the Hanna-Montana crap today, thumbs up if you agree!

  • @Themanwhofrowns Well, it's all apart of growing up.

  • Nostalgia just slapped me in the face. Lots of Disney videos I have had this logo, The Lion King was one!

  • This logo is ranked #1 for most favorite logo of all time in my opinion.

  • i lthink it's a good logo, but the main reason i like it is because great movies followed it, not this hannah montanna-jonas brothers crap they put out today.

  • i just got a captcha that said nestergeo.

  • LOVE THIS LOGO!

  • 11 people don't like the remix of this logo

  • This used to scare the heck out of me when I was 4!

  • @BenBopper That was because you were afraid of the THX logo that came after this, lol

  • @KyubiStewie Well that too. But I was afraid of BOTH logos.

  • @BenBopper I was only afraid of the THX logo at that time, but the WDC jingle is not that scary to me, it felt like something epic was bound to happen (aside from the THX logo in the WDMC version, lol). The only WDHV ID that gave me the creeps when I was a kid was the Neon Mickey ID.

  • @KyubiStewie OK so let's say I was scared of the fast pace.

  • @KyubiStewie you talking about that high pitched sound?

  • @KyubiStewie what movie?

  • This is probably Disney's best intro logo in my opinon

  • I Love the remix of the Classics logo

  • I have a question. The 1995 VHS release of "The Lion King" didn't have this logo, yet it was apart of "The Masterpiece collectio. Why is that?

  • @mr19932001 Strange enough, the Laserdisc release of The Lion King does have this logo. Why it was not included in the VHS tape master has been a mystery for film and logo fans for a long time.

  • Do you know the Print dates of Pinocchio 60th anniversery edition that has the Masterpiece Collection logo

  • I Miss That :(

  • I grew up with the Masterpiece Collection and as a teenager am growing up with The Classics since I'm collecting them

  • According AuberyMan, his print date of Pinocchio 1999 vhs is 9/11/99

  • Comment removed

  • I had this on my Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh tape.

  • What's the font used for the words "MASTERPIECE" and "COLLECTION"?

  • What a cool logo! But I didn't know the music for this was a remix of the WDC jingle until fairly recently.

  • For a very long time, I didn't know the music for this was a remix of the WDC jingle!

  • Tinkerbell X3

  • Take from hundreds of Disney tapes for example, Snow White, Winnie The Pooh, ESPECIALLY Oliver & Company.

  • The Videos that do not have the masterpiece collection logo are:

    early prints of Snow White

    The Lion King

    early prints of Pocahontas

    The Little mermaid

    The Black Cauldron

1998 prints of Alice in wonderland, dumbo, robin hood, etc

    Mulan

    101 Dalmatians

  • There were two VHS collections that Disney did in the 80's and 90's. The first was Walt Disney Classics, between 1984 and 1994 for the VHS releases of 15 movies previously unreleased outside of theaters.

After Snow White was released in 1994, some of them were repackaged with the new Masterpiece Collection as well as many of the films released while the collection was made between 1994 and 1999. The last ones were Mulan, One Hundred and One Dalmations, and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad.

  • The Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection Logo was shown 50th Anniversary Edition tapes like Fun and Fancy Free (1st time on video in 1997), Melody Time (Also 1st time on video in 1998), and The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr.Toad (Once Again 1st time on video in 1999).

  • Not only did this appear on Pooh's Grand Adventure as a video editing error; this also appeard on the 1997 VHS of Old Yeller as a video editing error

  • also this logo is taken from bambi with walt disney masterpiece VHS

  • Would Someone Upload The Disney Blu-Ray Logo With The 1997 Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection Jingle?

  • Of course it was shown on Mary Poppins only on the 1994 VHS after the Green FBI Screens and the 1997 VHS since between the 1996 FP logo and the THX logo and the 1999 VHS since between the 1992 FP logo and the Green Format Screen.

  • there was one with the thx logo and opening attached (i think it was sleeping beauty).

  • actually, on the 1997 VHS of Sleeping Beauty, after the THX logo, it shows the Green Format screen, the 1990 WDP logo, the Buena Vista logo, then the film's opening credits

  • @princess55ify It was old yeller.

  • @Nodog438 I told everyone that Old Yeller isn't in the Masterpiece Collection series. Not Pooh's Grand Adventure, and not Pinocchio.

  • @bloodshotclam I did not know.

  • @Nodog438 Then stop being dumb.

  • I've got this on my ''The Aristocats'' tape.

  • I have a Lady and the Tramp

  • there's only 2 films from the Masterpiece Collection that I don't have, and they are "Robin Hood" and "Pete's Dragon." I used to have the 1998 Masterpiece Collection VHS of "Robin Hood," but I got rid of it earlier this year.

  • Why did you get rid of that Robin Hood tape?

  • turns out i didn't really need it; i prefer the 1984 and 1991 VHS tapes that I currently have. However, if I can find an early release of Robin Hood from the Masterpiece Collection series, from 1994 or 1995, I'll probably get it

  • Also On Mary Poppins

  • This is a good idea for a spoof of the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection logo, I should save the video and use the theme from the Morgan Creek logo and it will fit perfectly for this amazing logo with a twist. Disney currently running the DVD promo using the Morgan Creek logo theme, but this might be an idea for a spoof. Interesting!

  • Actually, there were some copies of the 1999 VHS of "Pinocchio" that had this logo; my copy has it.

  • Lucky, I just got my 1999 copy and it doesn't have this please put the previews on DailyMotion for me please?

  • the hwole 9 yards was a warner bros. film.

  • I have this on 101 Dalmations, The Lion King, Snow White, Bambi, The Rescuers, Lady & The Tramp, Sleeping Beauty, all in the whole 9 yards.

  • The Lion King doesn't have this logo. It was supposed to, and it should have, but sadly, it didn't. Same with Aubster06's copy of The Little Mermaid. However, Lady and the Tramp, luckily does have this logo!

  • Are you sure this wasn't an editing error on Pooh's grand adventure, systemoperator?

  • Je viens regarde le Roi Lion de Walt Disney Collection chef d'oeuvre et Walt Disney Pictures.

  • If any Disney movie has this logo, it is one of their best movies!

  • Fun Fact...the orginal VHS release of Lion King had the logo on the box but didn't use it in the actually movie for some reason

  • Some copies actually have the logo in the film.

  • @ElBandGeek It was a video editing error.

  • I think TheBigDaddyDChannel should make an intro overload of these intros!

  • According to the last title of the series (which I own), it wasn't always going to be the last title of the series. There's a trailer for your favorite movie on there with the heading of "Disney's Masterpiece", which must mean that was going to be the last title in the these series, but then they re-created the trailer for the same year releases of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Robin Hood" without the heading, so that idea was dumped.

  • This also appears on a glitch copy of Pinocchio 1999 VHS

  • I miss seeing this at the beginning of disney films :):(:p

  • lol!!!!!

  • (imitating the Colonel from "101 Dalmatians") Well, bye George! You know what I just realized? This doesn't appear on the 1999 VHS of the movie I just mentioned.

  • The "101 Dalmatians" title was used for the 1996 live-action remake; the animated film's title is really "One Hundred and One Dalmatians".

  • I just called it that just so I could shorten it out.

  • I forgot to realize that Disney used a variant of the Walt Disney Classics tune for the Walt Disney Masterpiece Collection introduction.

  • One of the twenty tapes I got were the 1998 VHS of "The Little Mermaid", and they don't have this on here. True story.

  • Gosh Walt Disney screwed up all the 1998 videos

  • Walt Disney wasn't alive in 1998, he died in 1966, and also didn't make this VHS or the actual movie. Your talking about the companies. Not all the 1998 VHS were screwed up, "Peter Pan" was perfectly fine, and so was the 1998 VHS of "Lady and the Tramp"

  • When I say Walt Disney I mean The Walt Disney Company

  • Still, not every 1988 VHS was a screw-up, the 1998 VHS of "Peter Pan" had no screw-ups.

  • So were Mulan and other 1999 videos excluding the The Rescuers and Ichabod and Mr. Toad and Robin Hood/Alice in Wonderland don't count

  • The 1999 VHS of "The Rescuers" had a screw-up in the previews, but they fixed that. Hell, they even had a screw-up in the film, if you know what I mean, wink wink, nudge nudge.

  • Oh the toppless woman? she was removed from releases afterwards

  • On March 23, 1999 when "Mighty Joe" came out, they changed the flashbang bumpers to the "Coming to Video" bumper (as seen on the 2000 VHS of "Tarzan" with the 1992 WDC jingle or the 1994 WDMC jingle), the 1991 FP logo was changed to the 1996 FP logo, the format logo was added on after the WDMC logo, and the topless woman was removed from the film.

  • it also appers on the limeted issue print of pinocchio for a video editing error

  • I have this on:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

    Robin Hood

    Cinderella

    The Aristocats

    Oliver and Company

    Pooh's Grand Adventure

    The Hunchback of Notre Dame

    Sleeping Beauty

  • I have the editing error on the Winnie the Pooh VHS

  • You get out of here 'cause I ain't doing nothing wrong.

  • Pinocchio was released in WDMC. You are wierd.

  • No, you are! Pinocchio was not released in WDMC. It was edited. 1999 print just had FP logo & skipped to THX logo. I saw this.

  • No I'm not. Pinocchio was relesed in WDMC. I

saw dis print and it was on there.

  • I, too, saw Pinocchio & there was no WDMC logo.

  • I have to agree with systemoperator; there are no prints of the 1999 "Pinocchio" VHS with the WDMC logo.

  • Like you told me, that copy okaywhattimeisit94 and ASACAPRA own is a video editing error copy because it was released after the official last WDMC title "The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad".

  • @Gabrielkat AubreyMan62187 has the 1999 vhs of pinocchio with the WDMC logo

  • ASACAPRA and systemoperator, say it in your head.

  • Yep.

  • on SOME prints there is the WDMC logo, you proably on one of the prints that dosen't have the WDMC logo

  • I did.

  • i love this logo better

  • someone should go to Phil Hendrie's page on Wikipedia and make it say that he died of stomach cancer.

  • dddlwdian we have the many aventures of winine the pooh!

  • You stop being rude!

  • And The Jungle book.

  • As well as Hunchback of Note Dame, Astrocats, Nana's Alice in Wonderland, & Oliver & Company.

  • I have this on Cinderella, The Rescuers, Bambi, Pocohantis, Many adventures of Pooh, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, Snow White, 101 Dalmations, Lady & The Tramp, Blah Blah Blah.

  • 101 Dalmatians doesn't have WDMC logo! I saw that tape.

  • Very cool video!

  • That logo was taken from "Alice in Wonderland", "The Aristocats", "Cinderella" (1995 print), "Melody Time", "The Three Caballeros", "Mulan", "Hunchback of Norte Dame" and many others that I'll have to check. Guess what I made a spoof of the WDMC logo with the 1978 Media Home Entertainment music and uploaded it to "The House of Logo Spoofs" on the Ning site.

  • And guess what, I did a terrific job putting this logo with the 1978 Media logo music on to this one. That fits well, it's on the "House of Logo Spoofs".

  • Actually, I happen to have Mulan & this doesn't appear on there.

  • Was release in WDMC and it's also realeased in WDC.

  • If U look up close on TV, as Tinkerbell bnds down, U cn C her underpnts.

  • Are you sure WDMC's last tape was "Ichabod & Mr. Toad"?

  • Yes.

  • Wait a minute Pinnochio has this.

  • I don't think I'm buying that.

  • It is probably a result of a video editing error

  • Actually PGA TSFCR was sold in Europe and used the logo so it isn't a result of a video error

  • Actually there is 3 prints of Snow White first one uses 1992 FBI Screens and 1992 WDC Distorted logo2 1986 WDHV and 1994 WDMC with 1992 WDC distorted jingle.

  • Don't B so death! There's no 3 prints of Snow White! There's 2 prints of Snow White! Green FBI warnings were 1991 'cause 2nd version of Robin Hood was made when Rescuers Down Under & 50th anniversary Dumbo came out! 1st version's version B of 1991 FBI warnings, Roy Disney's intro. & 1986 logo & 2nd version's version B of 1991 FBI warnings, Roy Disney's intro. & Dec. 1994 WDMC logo! Figure it out, stupid!

  • Actually, I think sega3dmm was correct on what he said. The first print has the 1992 distorted Classics logo after the FBI screens and Roy Disney's introduction, the second print has the 1986 WDHV logo, and the third print has the Masterpiece logo.

  • I say again, don't B so death! There's no 3 prints of Snow White! There's 2 prints of Snow White! 1st version's version B of 1991 FBI warnings, Roy Disney's intro. & 1986 logo & 2nd version's version B of 1991 FBI warnings, Roy Disney's intro. & Dec. 1994 WDMC logo! Figure it out, stupid!

  • I am right! If I find that print again, I'll ----ing prove it to you by uploading it's previews!

  • I doubt dat!

  • Me too.

  • Got dat right.

  • Just to tell you I may not find it. If I found it, your doubt is false!

  • Once again, I say I highly doubt dat.

  • I know where it comes from, Robin Hood?

  • It cood B.

  • ???

  • I said, it cood B.

  • 2 Thumbs Up for the WDMC logo!

  • THIS IS TRUE! I once saw a Snow White print with the Green FBI Screens and the 1989 WDC logo. I only saw it ONCE and I'll probably never will see it again.

  • Probably the 1992 variant of the WDC logo instead.

  • Taken from Pinocchio and Slepping Beauty on VHS

  • Pinocchio wasn't released in WDMC! Just WDC!

  • Pinocchio was also released in 1999 on the Gold 'Classic' Collection. They're planning to release a Platinum Edition DVD and BD for that film likely in 2008.

  • No, it was released 1999 for a 60th anniversary edition! But dey R planin' releasin' it 2008.

  • I saw dat on Pinocchio.

  • Wasn't released in WDMC, it was released just WDC.

  • I have a print of Snow White with the 1986 logo.

  • And WDC 1992 logo. The post-October has this logo, the WDMC logo.

  • Was the 1992 WDC logo distorted on that tape?

  • How did you do that?

  • As seen at the beginning of "Tarsan" (1999)

  • No, it was not seen in Tarzan. The Masterpiece Collection series discounted in 1999 with The Adventures of Ichabod & Mr. Toad & they don't have it on there, either. Besides, they don't metion it anywhere on the cover or the blank tape & I saw it & there's no Masterpiece logo.

  • Also, you spelled Tarzan wrong!

  • Scary logo.

  • I don't know whether to laugh or cry when you say that. If you're really scared of this logo, I suggest you get some help. Really. XD

  • The BG music is a remix of the WDC theme.

  • Gabrielkat, make a list of movies that have the WDHV logo.

  • A direct-to-video featurette that's making a mistake.

    Actually it's:

    1.1998 FBI Warnings

    2.1992 HV logo

3.Avalible to own on videocassette (without the voiceover)

    4.Disney Videos trailer

5.Feature Presentation logo (Black BG and Blue Words)

dialouge: And now, our feature presentation

6.WDMC logo (Aubster06, you dummy, that's from 1997. And it's a video editing error! They've got the WDMC logo. That is all your fault!!!)

  • It's not a mistake, it's not a video editing error, they were originally goin' to plan on doin' it & they did do it, but they were just too lazy to put the labels on, they sold it that way, anyway.

  • I have that video with the editing error!

  • It's not an editin' error! They were originally goin' to plan on doin' it & they did do it, but they were just too lazy to put the labels on, they sold it that way, anyway.

  • what movie goes with these previews

  • Numbers ''3'' and ''5'' have the Feature Presentation sound from the UK release ''Toy Story 2'' ask samwatchman2000's video of ''Toy Story 2''
