@Brandon. for the sticker, after you take the battery out its on the bottom left corner and its just a little circle, If it's white, you're good to go. If it's pink is when its got water damage, I'm actually sending this phone to Nokia tomorrow for repair, for whatever reason my u button stopped working, just that one button. I've only had it about 4 months and it's been in a case since the first day, so I know it;s not from physical damage.

I looked up my phone and it's under warranty. THANK GOD!. But, I heard that ATT doesn't cover water damaged phones. I also heard that ATT opens up the battery cover, takes out the battery and sees a sticker? can you pleaase tell me if the sticker is white, im safe? wat color was it when you saw it?
@marquezbrandon Hi Brandon, To be totally honest I have no idea what color the battery sticker was. However everything I can find shows the sticker being white right off the bat.
Generally though the people checking the phone initially can't tell if it's water damaged or not. Only if they send it in to be checked will they for sure find it's water damaged. I would say just try to see what you can get done to replace it.
Technically this phone isn't meant for the GoPhone plan. I was told that upfront by the sales representative at the store. He said "It will accept the SIM card, and will run, but it's not designed to operate on a plan like this". He wasn't kidding, this thing would suck up money like nobody's business.
idk kid? i have the same phone, and i blocked my internet capabilities on my phone cause it has wifi, and it still connects via wifi. theres no charge on my phone bill for wifi causev its free!!! you mite wanna block your internet thing and see wat that does, if i still dont work just open the internet back up and get a new phone. that help???
Well I appreciate the help, but you have to remember this is just a trial phone, so there's no "getting a new phone".
But, with that said, when you enable this phone on pay as you go, you can't disable the main internet for some reason. The reason it was charging me for using Wi-fi is because it wasn't really using Wi-fi.
I'd have to go through the trouble of getting a new phone and provider. AT&T is a bunch of money grubbing whores and without the data plan you're doomed to the same thing, glad to hear the phone is good though. Maybe if I switch to a better carrier I'll just get the e71.
AT&T is really just a shitty cell provider. I went into the shop today to just get a good hands on with the nokia e71x and I'm going to be moving soon for college so I asked them what reception would be like in fargo...apparently if I make more than 50% of my calls from North Dakota they will disconnect me from their service, although this would really be a GODSEND,

Oliver,
First of all download skyfire and load it onto the E71x.
Then go to Menu > Settings > WLAN Wiz.
Once you get to the WLAN wizard you setup your wi-fi connection and exit out.
Once completed go to Skywire and it will ask what connection you want to use.

As of right now I don't have the phone anymore. It was only a loaner for a few weeks to demo and test.
But I did try that at the time, and Skyfire REFUSED to see the Wifi, and instead burnt about $10 of my prepaid plan in about 1 minute.
