I understand Cavins, I went Pentacostal for a few years. Much to the chagrin of my father. To grow up Catholic in the 70s was very confusing, many fell away. I think it was all those guitar folk masses. Anyone would find it hard to believe in God after a trauma like that.
People either lost a sense of any kind of religion or fell into some evangelical, fundamantalist thing.
