  • Nice set up you have..

  • Dang nice rig.

  • Excellent job on this video!

Great demo video for people interested in Amateur Radio!

    73 de WZ4KIM.

  • cb is beter than ham, anybody can do ham it takes a pro to do cb

  • Comment removed

  • CBRADIOLOVER - Either this is a nice joke or, you are an ass. I am not sure which way you are swinging on this one. The CB crowd does not have to pass a test or get a license to talk their garbage on the air. Ham's do. We have to prove our knowledge before we get to talk on the air.

  • mayn it takes talente to hook up a cb, unlike a ham radio

  • are you that retarded you dont realize they hook up the same way

  • no they dont, ham equitment is inferiorly built, cb is 40 times better and requires a lout more intelect

  • I spent 35+ years playing with CB. The band is populated with know-nothing wannabes who think their Cobra 148GTL with the 300 watt linear is the pinnicle of radio goodness.

I have yet to ever meet anyone in CB who could, reliably talk around the world on their FCC allotted power.

Yes, a 7yo can pass a ham test and in doing so, they prove that they know more than most CBers with any amount of experience.

    CB = Preschool for radio.

  • cause it is, a cobra 148 can stomp the fuck out of 10 meter bullshit with yore cq shit, plus we got more swang

  • LOL ..... "SWANG?" Yeah... with a little luck, you just might be able to call your "good buddy" 5 miles away! WOW!! LOL

Remember, it is illegal to talk "skip" on CB! 12 watts PEP on SSB! WOW!!! LOL.... I run a Kilowatt on 40 meters! Why? Because I can! I have a license to do so!!! I talk to people all over the world on many bands!!! You don't have to be jealous... just pass the exams!!!

  • 5 miles away? wow son, any time a channel 6'er wants to be heard they can fire up the 10K watt motor maul an be heard anywhere on the fuckin planet, do yore homework

  • Ham Radios are typically much better built, in fact. There are very few CB's still out there from the 70's and yet there are still Many Ham rigs still around from as far back as WWII and beyond.

  • right....mostly junk tho.

  • lol you call a test a 7 year old can pass knowledge

  • i luv radio shack

  • Terrible video, far far too DARK.............

  • hi,i have the same radio yaesu ft107m,green front great radio,so hope to get on the air with it very soon, best regards from william,n.ireland

  • Dude, Your an ass.....you have the toys i want! that sucks! I tried to become legal last summer, but they stoped the testing for the fire season! I get 95% or better on all the tests online, and i have a mobile Superstar(think) 10 meter radio thats been adapted to the CB channels and the very top of 10 Meters. I want to convert it back, but the x-tra power in the mountains with loggers using CB i could get out of trouble fast! Its on a 10F steel whip. Works good, but i legally cant TX just RX

  • good video

  • There's nothing quite like the glow of radios in a semi-dark shack. Valve/tube gear is even nicer.

  • Very good!

  • man i would llove to have that equipment, but im hard on cash right now :(

  • I hear you man. The only thing that's keeping me from upgrading to general or even extra is that I can't see myself spending that kind of money on a HF rig....

  • Wat money? a big $100 for an old heathkit will do just fine for low income budget.

Thats less than most hobbies cost to start out!

  • Im 12 and i was licensed 2 years ago.

  • thats cool. i am getting licensed soon and i am around your age.

  • I thought only sommerkamp made variants with pale coloured front panels, seems a nice radio to operate,I just passed my foundation license, eventually I want to get onto hf.

  • I am just beginning. Is 40 meters popular for DX? 73 KC9KZT

  • Thanks for the comments :), and many thanks KC0TCH.

  • Hello

Nice to see yet another FT107M on the air.. Got a the line myself. Enjoy

  • i love to have a hf radio tranceiver...what is the most poppular radio in hf now??

  • The yeasu FT957 And FT897 are both all band all mode rigs and are great bothe sell for less than $1,000.00 USD

  • nice ham,nice price too...

  • ooops another typo i meant 857 rather than 957

  • The Yaesu Ft-1000 Mark V Field is one of the most popular rigs and has superb audio. I, myself, cannot afford one.I run a Kenwood TS-570D and it is an excellent HF radio that is much more affordable and also has superb audio and Digital Signal Processing tha really helps on the receive. 73 de KU4GW Cliff

  • I'm also running a TS-570D, it is a very nice hf rig. I get compliments on it all the time, especially when I am running it mobile.

    73 kd8gxd

  • I am most proud of my DX contact with the Canary Islands.

  • sexy webcams have nothing to do with ham radio. it is also illegal to send sexy webcam crap over the airwaves

  • yeah i like 40 meters too. enjoyed the video. 73 de KI4TYC

  • Yeah.... Many Thanks for the comments :) From Louis 2E0LRA

  • I'm tired of my cobra 2000....i wanna step it up a bit :)

  • cobra??? i didnt know cobra made ham rigs.

  • they don't...

    it's 11 meter :[

  • yeah i know... i guess its a little hard to express sarcasm in text format.

  • 107 yaesu mostro bianco sempre una grande ricezione.

    73 de iz8eez
