  • I love these, i don't own one but the closest i got was this : watch?v=rMM7j4OPW9Q

  • It rustless accept for the under carriage that's why I stopped driving it and replaced it with a honda insight. It's in my new barn.

  • Wow I have a rustless 1974 Chrysler Newyorker like on the tv show trailer park boys and it's similar on the inside almost. Great car.

  • Isn't that spring loaded license plate a BITCH to hold down while refueling.Damn license plate screws use to chop me up.

  • @MrJohnnyDistortion

Yep! that spring loaded license plate is shit :)) i dont like it either.

  • @MrJohnnyDistortion Just to let you know that dodge did a good job of screwing with people when they went to fill with gas. the fill is between the tail lights. you rock the backup lights down to fill up the car.

  • Couldn't help also notice that you have seat rot from beer farts. LOL ;-)

  • @MrJohnnyDistortion

    :DD too many farts.

  • I use to have a 77 Royale Monaco Brogham,2 door, copper, white interior, same pattern, brown dash/carpet.400 CID.Not enough motor for me.Had to sell it.Miss it.Kleenex.What country r u in?Enjoy the car,KEEP OUT OF SOW-SALT=RUST+ACCIDENTS.BUY TRUCK FOR SNOW!FAST!! ;-) MOPAR!!! What is that sticking out of the top/rear part of the radiator?I noticed a Direct Conection ignition box (orange) on passenger side firewall.smart.ENJOY -BUY TRUCK FOR SNOW.PUT MONACO IN GARAGE SAFE/CLEAN. ;-)

  • Sweet ride. keep it and enjoy. I own a 74 with a 400. It was my dads last new car and went to the dealer with him to buy it. Love the big old mopar. Mine is dark blue with a white top and all the toys inside.

  • Nice Car.

  • Kova video.Dodge + Hurriganes= )

  • What kind of power did that engine make new?

  • A nice beautiful beast of a car, I own one of it's cousins, a 1975 Chrysler Newport, unfortunately it's white with a burgundy interior, I wish it was green like yours. Your car isn't 100% original though, it has aftermarket speakers above the dash and through the parcel shelf, my car still has the original MoPar AM/FM stereo eight track made by Panasonic, a good performer actually. It's nice that someone added mud flaps to your car, that very likely saved the bottoms of the fenders from rusting.

  • wrong on the year, that's a 1977 Royal Monaco

  • Mon char de reve

  • now thats some seats ;P

  • Beautiful!

    Awesome

    Chingon!

    Song name please :D

  • @abailarperra

The Band is Hurriganes and one song name is :Talkin about you.

  • @eppu12345 Yeah its great!

    Thanks man!!!

  • @abailarperra

The Band is Hurriganes and one song name is :Talkin about you.

  • I stand corrected, the under the hood shot was very brief. After looking at the video several times it is a 383 or a 440. Excuse my ignorance. The dodge Monaco I had 20 years ago, was a police package with dual inlets on the air cleaner.

  • Yes...that definitely is a 440... Look under air filter housing, there's the coil.... Look a little bit more to the left... That's not a mini medusa head...That's the distributor...

Very sweet car you have there... I have a 1969 dodge Challenger R/T with a 440 sporting a six pack... Not quite as rare as your car though...Your car is in beautiful condition... Please keep it that way :)

  • thanks, yes i will.

  • @scott93257 69 CHALLENGER?

  • @airsoftloverusp

    Lovin that Monaco too man

  • @scott93257 Actually I think a Challenger R/T with six pack would be rarer, most Mopars with multiple carbs got dual quads, most of the Challengers also came with 383s, maybe 400s in the later versions. However you could get some of those E and B bodied pony cars with a slant 6 or a 318 but most didn't.

  • @scott93257 There is no such thing as a 1969 Dodge Challenger. The first year of the Challenger was 1970. Unless you meant a Charger, then cool.

  • @themoparguy

Yes Charger is what I meant... As I was typing that, a new Challenger went by the window....and I typed Challenger rather than Charger...69 Charger..it is a beautiful car... My dad and I built the motor and restored her from the ground up....Unfortunately dad didn't make it to finish the rest of it with me...just interior was needed... which I finished... mom and dad died in a car accident that summer..But their spirit lives on in that car and I feel the everyday

  • @scott93257 That's fine. A lot of poeple get those names mixed up at times anyways. Yeah those new Challengers are nice. I have the first model year Charger (1966) and a 440c.i. waiting for it. A future project between my dad and I. Terribly sorry to hear about your folks.

  • looks like a 440 to me

  • Beautifful.

  • That is not a 440 engine! That is a 360 or a 318. The 440's distributer cap is on the front of the engine not in the rear. Good luck buying parts.....

  • yep i found many parts in shop this engine and i have orginal paper that engine is 440 but if you say so its not then its not 440.

  • @joemiller1954 So where does it look like the distributor is? Looks like the front to me...

  • @joemiller1954 when was the last time you looked at a mopar engine? small block has the distributer at the rear and big block is at the front. follow the plug wires, the go to the front. IT IS A 440

  • @joemiller1954 LOOK Again! The Distributor IS in the Front and it IS a 440

  • Comment removed

  • @joemiller1954 Listen to the exhaust, does that sound like a 360 or a 318 to you?

  • @joemiller1954 that's a 440 or 400 doesn't matter it's as big block mopar for sure. the big blocks distributor are all on the front the small blocks are on the back!! I know I owned 78 dodge motorhome with a 440 and now have a 76 with a 360

  • @joemiller1954 WRONG!It is a 440.Look again slightly visible behind the upper radiator hose is the angled distributor cap in grat color.Follow the ignition wires Joe.Parts are everywhere.Good luck with your eyesight!

  • That is not a 440 it is a 318 or a 360. A 440 had the distributer in the front of the engine! Who are you trying to kid?

  • fuckin awesome

  • Why the taillights have a Cadillac-like emblem??

  • Its a Royal Monaco emblem.

  • @josemanuel599 To piss off GM.Some people have to be led by the hand.LOL ;-)

  • to many doors.

  • Talk about taking care of a car, beautiful job.

  • beautiful!

  • It's the BLUESMOBILE!!!!!

  • Why in Poland petrol is expensive?

    I wanna car like this!

    Great vehicle.

  • what song is that?

  • one is : talking about you.

  • and band is Hurriganes.

  • @bad66chevelles Finnish band a Hurriganes.

  • what a beauty!

  • This old dodge is sweet..

  • beautiful car, whts the song called playing on the radio

  • Finnish band : Hurriganes and song is :talking about you.

  • thnx man

  • Moro. Sama peli ittellä. Ei tosin hard toppi mutta paljon samaa... suht alkuperäinen myös.

  • cadillac tailights?

  • no! its orginal monaco tail lights. . with that dodge monaco logo.

  • And that also right. . when i take this video i dont have any other music available then.

  • The music is all wrong that is playing in this video. Watch the 77 Dodge Royal Monaco Comparison video here I posted on youtube. The music in the film is more representative of the type of person that would own a Monaco. Rockin Roll would be totally foreign to a Monaco owner. Lawerence Welk or Mitch Miller would be totally in music for a Royal Monaco owner

  • Well, I think the music he used was ok. But I say the best music for that car would be some BLUES BROTHERS!!! (After all, it's basically the same car as the Bluesmobile) A little Rubber Biscuit perhaps? :)

  • 17/12/1974?

    That's my Birthday!

  • was there 2 different monacos in 1975? some show some without the hidden headlighys while others have a standared ligth configuration

  • yes it was , -74 was not hidden and -75 year is first time when hidden headlights comes.

  • Not Exactly correct here. There were two Models in 1974, the Monaco and the Royal Monaco. Both had exposed headlamps. In 1975, the Monaco retained a slightly modified 74 grill with exposed headlamps, but the new 75 Royal Monaco which cost more, had hidden headlamps. In the 76 and 77, both Monaco and Royal Monaco had the same front styled hidden head lamps.

  • thanks thanks to correct answer.

  • Yes, you are correct.

The base 1975 Monaco had regular (exposed) headlights like the '74. The only difference was the eggcrate grille on the '75.

The 1975 Royal Monaco (more luxury options) had the hidden headlights. Both models are hard to find, nowadays.

  • Komia kärry, Mikä biisi tuol sisällä soi? =D

  • Hurriganes

  • WOW, really nice! is it a Royale?

  • Thanks , yes it is.

  • I love old cars and I would like to have one.

  • my first car was a1975 dodge royal monaco

  • loved the vidio!!! i had a74 monaco that was bought new by the poland, .oh .police chief the dodge was a mon. brohm. as well as yours, but, it had the e-85 police package.440,special cam, electrical, ect. back then, dodge would put a e-85 code to any of the mid to large boides, unlke ford, who won,t sell the p-71 code interceptors to the public!! i had the same int. as you but it was black. mine also had the rounded rear window. the car was fast!! but it saved my life!. i got hit by a dump truck!

  • Wow what a story, if you had photos i loved to see but that car was made good old solid steel its cool car to safe your life ,no doubt it! Wow.

  • That is a 1975 Royal Monaco Brougham. The year is 1975 for a Fact. Only 1975 had the Rounded Back window. And also, the Hide-a-way headlights were Not available for 1974

  • allright, but it must been very first -75 model because registration has been 17.12.-1974.

  • In america I don't know about europe but the next model year starts around july. So if that car was manufactured in july 74 Then yes its a 1975 model

  • Sweet. It's a four door hard top. I like that design with no stupid pillar in the way when you look to the sides. With gasoline down to $1.66 USD per gallon here I could afford to drive a nice big car like this one.

  • accordingly, it was fine car to drive, but in here Finland gasoline price is too high i only drive weekends :)

  • by the way , gasoline price is here $6.40 USD per gallon.

  • thats sick but im betting your goverment taxes the hell out of it and your nieghbor russia could give you back the land it stole from you or make some oil concessions.

  • Yes, not bad think at all :)

  • How did that old boy end up in Finland? Diplomat perhaps?

  • it has in here agency car in big firm year -74

  • Thanks!!! I really like 60´s and 70s Mopars. Could you please say how much they paid for your Monaco? In which country? Thanks !!!

  • yes, that car goes 7,700 USD and its was here in Finland (Europe).

  • HI, i have a doubt.... I own a 1974 and a 1975 monaco. but in this car I see the taillights from a 1974 but all the front is from a 1975-1977 Royal Monaco. At least in Mexico we didnt see any Royal monaco ( hidden beams ) until 1975. What do you think? thanks and regards, NICE CAR of course!!

  • Thanks, hmmm maybe it is cut in middle years -74 and -75. . just when year change 17.12. , or someone have change front mask then. . but nevertheless i dont have any more this car , i have now Plymouth Fury III year 1965.

  • that one looks perfect to replace Ricky's green New Yorker in "Trailer park boys".

  • Excuse me. It's offtop, but what song is singing in the car?

  • Yes, it is finnish band in 70´s name is: Hurriganes and song : Talkin bout you , i have many records of this band . .

  • maybe ,but it runs very good and sifts also very fast, no problem at all that car. . but car is now gone, i sell it. .

  • almost sounds like the timing chain is off a bit...but still well worth, despite it being in Finland.............

  • yes, it´s in sale ,but this car is in Finland (Europe) ,long way to U.S.

Price is right now 11000 dollars.

  • that is a nice car. do you want to sell it?
