You are an artist in your own right--using sights and sounds to extend our emotions beyond our senses--isn't that the definition of art? well, it should be. I'm thankful to count you as one of my dear friends...
Wow....perfect matching of image and lyric......beautifully arranged....This song has two of my favorite singers Dan and Vince Gill harmonizing so wonderfully....kinda wished they would have had the chance to collaborate again
....would have been Great. Thanks for sharing and keep posting!
Thank you, Donna, for this poignant creation. You have the gift, my friend - you put so much of your soul into your vids. It's very important that we remember our forefathers - their lives and struggles - but always a code of honour. Great song, Dan! *****
Love the images you have chosen. Very evocative and thought provoking. Why must native inhabitants (of any country) be displaced? Why, oh why, can't we all live in peace and harmony?
Sometimes there just are no words to describe beautiful music such as this by Dan. Thank you for creating this & sharing. Thank you Dan for all. Sheer Perfection.
It is inevitable that all the people have a destiny and it also seems inevitable that honest and noble people might have had this destiny...wondering like pilgrims in search of a safe place..some people have suffered more than the others. Beautiful video!
1:26 beautiful photo - 'From Here To Eternity' but there isn't Hawaii. ;)
A climatic video.
I was born in 1951, as Dan was, and it's obvious that His music stick to me but there are many people around who like Dan's compositions, although they are below 20.
I loved these beautiful paintings, they fit Dan's song so perfectly and peacefully! How lovely I saw our peace warrior Dan on the horse near the ending, thank you Donna for such a great post! You've done justice to this song!
My late Grandfather's Great Grandparents walked the Trail Of Tears with my Great Grandmother and tomorrow is the day that my Father joined the ancestors in the celestial homelands....i feel them with me in times of sorrow and joy...and with gratitude, i feel them in my sister's video.
Donna, after posting my first comment I clicked the replay button then the more button on the info box --- as I read, I heard these words --- "Twin sisters of different mothers around whom the same spirits gather"
A very moving video. I need to read about this time in our history, surely there could have been another way to treat our brothers and sisters here before we came. I can't seem to remember this song by Dan, I love the picture of him at the end. Thank you D. so good to see your wonderful creative gifts back again!
Thank You Dan Fogelberg Always for inspiring my sister to the point she is compeLLed to express herself..and, we are the ones who are bleSSed when her mission is complete.. Donna this is a beautiFuL expression of the extraordinary beautiFuL Dan tune...and, do you know I just make a little tribute to our forefathers..also..yep..we are truly sisters in more ways than one..so so so gooD to see you doing your thang guLL..so GooD
