in animal crossing ds your roof colour is the same as your regular ds colour

@BearpawsJ Actually running in the grass in Wild World doesn't kill it. It's only in Let's Go To The City / City Folk.

@BearpawsJ Oh also the color of your DS (Not the ds itself) is by the color that you stored in your DS.

So per say you on pictochat and you're name is in blue, that's your color. You would start off with blue if that was your ds color. :P
