ok, i understand why athletes/stars wouldn't want to sign autographs for hundreds of people, but as a fan, i can tell you i really appreciate it when players stop and sign for you. and not saying that I ever will be, but if i ever became famous, aftering being just a fan for years, I'd stay and sign autographs for everybody (time permitting) just because I'd know what it feels like waiting for a while just to get rejected by one of your favorite players, it sux.

I understand not being able to sign because these players have obligations to larger companies. Example: David Wright can't sign on the sweet spot of a baseball because he has a deal with steiner sports, however they should atleast acknowledge the fans that wait in the early morning, blistering cold just to catch a glimpse of their heroes.
