The many fails of taking down Rawr

This is the enemy I struggled with the most. I ended up drugging myself up on MedX and Psycho and still firing about 2 shot from an Anti-Material Rifle with explosive rounds before killing it.

Unlike other Deathclaws in the Divide, Rawr doesnt scale. He's always 900 HP.

Sneak attack critical with Anti-Materiel Rifle (all upgrades) loaded with armor-piercing rounds. Should only take two hits, as he'll like stagger and clutch his head.

But if he charges, oh man you're fucked.

Lot of dying,lol. Unusual tactic luring him to you. The irradiated deathclaws shredded me last time, never got to Rawr, figured if I was holding off deathclaws with a flairgun slowly, Rawr would rip me apart.

you have to have unarmed of like 85 to make Rawrs special weapon with his claw for anyone so u can make sure to get ur unarmed skill up.

for starter yes it is the strongest enemy in the game and second never use the anti-material rifle against unless you are using almost every drug in the game including (steady) most importantly. If you dont use the antil material rifle I would suggest using an (LAER) from the big mountain DLC

i shot him once in the chest with the anti-martiral rifle, the gun runner arsenal one n i put all the mods on it as well but my gun skill is also 100

@MrFalloutNewVegas631 the mods don't add damage, a chest shot also would have to be a sneak attack.

I had to reload a bunch of times. I ended up going in unarmed, used VATS and hoped for Paralyzing strike to work. It eventually did then I switched to "Oh, Baby!" and killed him. The Claw he drops is awesome for melee chars.

@Arwani1501 yes and no. he has twice the punch power than a legendary deathclaw but health wise, ulysess takes the spotlight he has 1030 hp and 20dt

I took out 80% of his health in one shot on very hard. It actually really surprised me cause I was expecting a tough fight, but I specifically waited until I could get a definite headshot. Obviously waiting for the headshot paid off.

@assweipe247 That depends what you consider Legendary. Rawr has slightly less health than the Legendary Deathclaw, but is also faster and deals more damage per hit. Two hits from Rawr would be enough to kill even the toughest L50 character.
