Very impressive. I do have a few comments. I am a 3rd Dan and a personal trainer that uses a BOSU all the time with clients. I can't see the function of kicks on a BOSU...nearly 1/3 of your kicking power comes from being able to generate force from the floor. NONE of those kicks had any POWER...why do them if they are not done as if your life depends on them...nice stage trick, but not martial art.
I would say that the goal of the exercise is to be able to maintain strong balance throughout every stage of the kick. If you can hold yourself well on the shifting terrain, you can have surer footing on solid ground. Although I still think you can genereate good power on the bosu. One time I'll try multiple board breaking see if that looks good on screen. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks. BOSU exercises increase core strength through balance training. And strong balance lends itself to powerful technique. The area of the core, the midsection, also coincides with the center of your body, tantien, where chi is cultivated. So you get a modern twist in traditional martial arts training and who knows, maybe even sponsorship at some point for endorsing and finding creative ways to use a company's product.
