  • Finally got access back to my old account!! OK website discontinued over a year ago when sold set up. Am now rebuilding a smaller sim as restricted time. Short throw projector for front view bounced off a curved mirror so screen could get close to plane. Trialed monitors for side views - worked great - awesome addition

  • are you using projector for front view?I would like to correspond via email.Ive been reseaching home cockpits for months.Yours looks great.Do you have monitors for the side windows?

  • trying to reach your website .Is it still running. If not, How can I get construction details

  • wow you really suck at landing.

  • I did not hear you call unicom to check for local traffic LOL...... Very nice set up very nice flying

  • how do u make this cockpit ?

  • HOW CAN MAKE 3 MONITOR ON 1 COMPUTER?

  • @FeizJassim Get a video card that can support 3 or more monitors.

  • nice also i have a suggestion for you, instead of using the default 737 sounds use tss 737 it sounds way better

  • why spoil the great cockpit with such a bad aircraft using the horrible default GPS

  • did u use beamers outside of the cockpit or two flat screens inside the cockpit ?

  • how much did the home cockpit cost?

  • how much did the home cockpit cost?

  • Nice flare, but not really centerlined!

    4/5! greetz

  • Ocasionally you might play on some racing simulator with this setup.

  • wieso immer sant maartin??!!

  • All i see is monitors, no real hardware?

    Nice cockpit though ;D

    4/5

  • What software powers the screens to make the instruments come up??

  • how much did it take to make all this asomeness

  • very bad landing (you landed too late and not on center line)

  • @tomek1158 PS you was too high

  • @tomek1158 wasn't too bad, for a small aircraft like a baron, its not a big deal landing past the fixed distance marks, the only problem is that he wasn't centerline, and even that isn't too big a deal. if this was the 737, then yeah, it would've been a terrible landing.

  • You know what, this is going on my favourites, it's brilliant. Can I ask, how much did it cost to set this all up? Thanks :)

  • @shmuck50 lol , i meant about the R. E. A. L. Home Cockpit xD

  • this home cockpit cost in our country is 5 million O.o

  • OMG !!!!!

    ... Greeaat :)

  • How much did this all cost you? :O

just out of interest.Even if it took you a while and it all over a period of time, still was id under or over £1000?

  • Very nice setup

  • Since you don't have physical dials in your cockpit, you should really consider getting a virtual co-pilot to assist you via voice commands.

Try something called "Multi Crew Experience" (for which a 7 day demo is available) and you will see what i mean. Byebye keyboard and mouse. Hello voice control for FSx and FS9. Never mind being able to "talk" to ATC.

Technically, all you need is a headset with microphone.

  • i would kill a klondike bar for that

  • what is the frame made off

  • are you using a projector or two lcd monitors?

  • if that is demo you HAVE to by it:-)

  • u no life

  • Awsome setup but I was just wondering how many pc`s did you use for this ??

  • Great set up. It looked like you were a little low to the ground on the landing though haha

  • Nice video!!!! Amazing home built cockit!!!! Now put some hydolics on!!! LOL

  • Wooaaw there cowboy!!

    Coming in a bit fast!!

    Nice setup though.

  • OMG!!!!!! LOVE IT:)

  • will you sell me that its amazing or send an email on how to build one?

    its amazing!!!

  • My God!!!!! That was AWESOME!!!! Have you added any addon ( REX, FSX newport photo real LA, Wash. DC, Sydne.

    Great vid keep them comin

  • Thanks for comments. I have tosay it is just FSX at the moment no addons!

  • how much was this setup with pc's

  • Id hate to say, but it was spread over alot of time, and stuff was used from earlier cockpit

  • that is so cool

  • basicly you need 3 monitors and 3 computers for this cockpit

  • P.S. you just got yourself another subscriber!

  • Holy mother of crap! You have the SICKEST home cockpit I have EVAR seen!!!!

  • I envy you :P.

  • Good man getting it down. looks like you are coming along nicely.

  • u should just leave it as a universial cockpit that can handle basicly every kind of plane.

  • from where did you buy it and how much does it coat.

  • Please see website for construction details at claxtonfly co uk

  • how the hell you get a cockpit ? i want one

  • could you please tell me where you got that throttle quadrent?

    thanks in advance.

    Nick

  • I have built the quadrant from scratch, please see website for details at claxtonfly co uk thanks

  • k. thanks

  • great vid thank for sharing, loooks really nice

  • my gd the jelousy your not on centreline lol hes showing his homebuilt cockpit i myself am in the middle of mine nice work and your flying was too

  • Ok one, Why have a default GPS within a aircraft that dose not have one and when trying for a realistic cockpit if going for a 737. Second way off center-line of runway and super low graphics for the default version of TNCM.

  • GPS - I like it!! I do what I enjoy, not a tech nut. I do panel swap though as I please, including a full 737 fascia which changes the whole MIP to ND, PFD, upper EICAS etc. 737 is the long term, but needs to fly in the interim! Also, easier means my 7 yr old can cope with it. I think we can all see landings are grim! Again I fly to enjoy. Graphics - dont forget these are spread over an 8ft length curved screen to increase peripheral visuals. They are actually set quite high.

  • how did you make or get the cockpit frame Please Reply

  • Please see website for details - under claxtonfly

    thanks

  • thanks I looked at it for quite some time. Im only 16 and just got a job so I can start building it. The one ive been planning out for a few months is quite similiar to yours so your website will help with the building so thanks a lot and do you fly outside your sim?

  • how much do it cost?

  • u should have built the g1000 baron instead, it would have been much better just 2monitors for mfd n pfd then u have ur projection

  • a bluescreen just seconds from landing would be fun..lol

  • haha

  • Holy smokes! To borrow a phrase..."As real as it gets." Dual controls? Side views?

  • i want to bulit my home bulit cotpit how do one

  • if you dont mind me asking how much time and money did it take to build that? its very nice

  • HI

Thanks for comment. Started this in Nov last year but used a lot of stuff from an earlier project. The biggest cost was the short throw projector and PC, although the PC is 2 years old now. Most of the hardware is sourced from ebay - difficult to put a cost on it, but given that a lot is self made, not as much as you might think - the cockpit shell was cheap really - simple wood products from a local timber merchant. see my website for more details

  • UM..WOW!nice set!

  • Thanks mate - nice to see it enjoyed!!

  • nice stuff dude
