Hi there- happy to solve this puzzle for you.

this song is a section of "Sofia" by Nintariman, part of a free album called 'Protector'.

Youtube won't let me post a link but if you google "nintariman genericorp" you'll get it as first result.

You have to go about 1:30 into sofia to hear the above clip.

haha, saw this just now. I was just as convinced this was BOC when I first got my hands on the leak back then. Even tho it's fake, it's SUCH A GOOD TUNE! seriously one of the best tunes I know of to this date. epic build up and outro. the sherbert head-version on this leak is also reeeeally good!

@nelson3300 Nope I did ask lots of questions across the web but got no definite answer... Ah, just listened to this fake version of farewell fire too. Just so intense, and imo. much much better than the original actually. I'll settle with just enjoying both album "versions", but it would be fun to sometime find out the true id behind the fake one for sure.

@plisb Word, I'm just glad it exists!!  Apparat sounds very similar, but I don't have enough of his material to judge. Either way, I'm discovering a LOT of artists I've never head of trying to figure it out :)

Its not Boc , its too digital to be part of old tunes proper. Could be any old shit done by one of the 400 Million people with a DAW, but possibly Autechre ? You should listen to Frog pocket if you like this, but the drums are a bit annoying for me personally. Get them to fuck ! :)

one suggestion, if you like this style and BoC, you should check out XYZ by them if you haven`t heard it already, very similar to this and is a lost BoC song from when they did the Peel Session, I plan on uploading it soon

I figure its teh same artist as this song, really similar.. .I realize now this is in no way the sound of BoC, which is much more natural and airy, if you will. crazy shit

@nelson3300 yeah I checked that song out, read what I wrote on that dudes video comments, about the song "Sunflower", it gets pretty deep, I had to use 3 comment boxes

this is most likely an Autechre or maybe even Plaid song, not sure I don`t really listen to them or this style, but what I can say being somewhat of an expert on BoC, as lame as that sounds, this doesn`t sound well constructed enough to be them, the only time they did this style was during live performances and this doesn`t sound live, so it most likely isn`t them, feel free to check out my rare BoC song uploads if you`d like to see some ones that are for def legit

@epaTnOskooB This is pretty much the only iffy song I have, and at this point I just like to think its BoC. Its def. a lot more glitchy and whatnot, but the feel of it... just gives me the same feeling as most other BoC songs. But given that I have most all of their music, I am convinced its not them..
