@marip0sa34 There is so much to like in this track. So much sound and noise all coming together - brilliant. One of my favorite songs ever. I used to listen to this so crazily loud - each time in that ending I would hear a new sound from some animal...vegetable...mineral...
Metal fan, but Adam and the Ants were the first band I ever got into. The one thing I wished they had done was an album between "Kings of the Wild Frontier" and "Prince Charming", I remember as a 13 year old thinking it was a big jump in style. Great music and Adam Ant is a genious, their music will pass the test of time.
I blame him. I really do. XD I'm in my early teens and I am obsessed with late 70s and 80s music and Adam and the Ants got me started. This music is GENIUS and ORIGINAL. And although I adore some modern bands, nothing can beat stuff like this, the damned, Siouxsie and all the wonderful tunes from the 80s.
If I am lucky enough to one day create music half as good as this, I'll die happy. XDD
I would have chucked a fucking tomato at the bitch, had I heard her desecrate one of Adam's songs. (I felt the same way about Talk Talk, and I don't even like them 20% as much as Adam Ant.) Maybe she'd be covered in FIVE rotten tomatoes.
Working "No Doubt" concert in Seattle this weekend, While fans were coming into the venue, I heard this song playing. I asked a girl if she knew who was singing, she had never heard of Adam and the Ants! Also, during their encore, Gwen sang "Stand & Deliver" I bet 90% of the audience, didn't have a clue that Adam and the Ants sang that song originally! She did an awsome job!
Even Pablo Picasso . . was an ASSHOLE! . . from the soundtrack "Repo-Man" 1984 . .

it was the only good track on what was a shite albumn, burned out after 1 albumn, dont class "dirk" as "their" albumn. different band altogether
clashcityjohnny 2 years ago
I dont agree, I believe after the commercialism of Ant Music, Prince Charming etc, this song is similar back in their Dirk days.
It didnt appeal to the people who didnt know the origins of the band and songs like Car trouble, Cleopatra etc, hence other Albums didnt sell as well.
To the commercial Fan I guess you could look at it from your point of view, but original fans who were around before Ant music would disagree

@marcsealey Sorry, you're wrong there. The Title Track(Prince Charming) and Scorpios kicked ass over this.

A legend in every sense of the word... he is a genius; totally under estimated by people who do not matter... which is not a bad thing.
