With factions, you can simply place a chest under bedrock and you cannot get anything out unless you destroy it, and nobody else can get it unless you are claimable by having less power than land.

I like a combination of hiding and trapping chests. One wrong block takedown and BAM face full of lava/tnt. Of course there are those that have cheats that allow them to see exactly where everything is. I sometimes like to serround my chest by a super deep moat that the x-ray hackers can`t see when they have it turned on so they ussually fall to their deaths.

the real way to hide chest are by surrounding them in obsidian

Its 1 problem. A lot of people use x-ray now. The tip is then to put the chest inside a iron ore thing so long down as possible, because they wont dig down to that small iron ore source when its 100 other iron source. Thumbs up so everyone see this.

I have destroyed 2 servers with my friends without getting caught and they had to close down because of lack of reputation and donations. Other servers have better security like fractions or towny so it's hard to grief these days.

The admins on my server are pricks who use X-ray, and ban X-rayers. Hide a chest, under another chest, that is hidden under bedrock, and has a decoy.
