Simple. Water that bubbles in a microwave at 100 C is normally tap water, it isn't pure enough. Have distilled water, and that in turn wont bubble and boil, it will superheat, and when something relatively cold or normal is dropped in then it will react violently.
@bader58 distilled water has no minerals or other properties when he adds something to the distilled water that has been heated in a microwave for a few minutes it will react vilently possibly leaving serious burns

it is not super heat water....you boild water with microvawe. the water bond between molecules is absorb heat. it is hot enough to boil if something disturb the bonds. In this case, these bonds in stable condition while absorb heat. when you put something in it. you are distub the bond cause boiling. just like bottle of champane. if you disturb the gas in the bottle: it buble up
jacaposaladin is correct, u must use pure water. That is because there are no impurities in pure water to create a nucleation site for the water vapors to form. By dropping a spoon in it for example, the air bubbles create a nucleation site thus transforming the water into vapor
Super-heated water is water that is heated beyond boiling point without boiling, so yeah, it is.
And WTF are you talking about "bond between molecules is absorb heat"??? WTF does that even mean?? You need to go back to school, pay particular attention in English and Science class.
If you drop a penny into the water, you're not going to "disturb the bond cause boiling", whatever that means, you're giving the water a means to create bubbles, thus causing the water to boil almost instantly.
thats crzy put an ice cube into it a big one lolololololol

was the spoon at room temperature? and, how do you heat water above 100 C without turning to the gaseous state, as in superheating?
