I am a trucker, and never had to worry about the law becuase i obey them. Now that the economy is in recession, I can put trucking behind me to find another career. I can look back, and remember that I was once a great trucker who never had an accident, nor broken the law andgot a ticket. My advice....don't be a trucker, because it is the worst kind of job there is.

Thank you for realizing it is not only the fault of the truck driver. Several times I have told shippers that I didn't like the way something was loaded and was told "Oh well, that is how it's loaded and you can &^%$#@$ deal with it. If you know how to drive it'll be ok." And If you argue with them your company will most likely fire you.

It is your truck, and you have total control of it. There is a nice and professional way to deal with that situation. It happens to me all the time. If you are hostile about it then more than likely they will give you a hard time. First I try to deal with it myself then I call my dispatch. Most of the time they will cooperate. Remember they are humans with emotions too.
