  • man, that is The Clean Sound. Never heard one like that.

  • Sam, Please do some demos of your beautiful collection of amps. : )

  • Man I love your playing, I am 72 years old an it gave me back the passion to get my old fender out of the cobwebs & start again, keep up the good work ,love it

  • I have never heard such a sweet sound! The '68 Deluxe-Reverb really is something else. The Tele is just out of this world! You're pretty damn good too!!

  • really twangy tone! i wish i had a 68 deluxe reverb so i could get your settings

  • MyTwangyGuitar your the best player i ever seen. I played along with my Squier Strat to your summertime blues video and it sounds remarkably the same as your Tele

  • Man, your stuff is so good...

  • just askin is your guitar fender or squier??!!...i lke the color and the tone...

  • love your guitar bro

  • TONE! TONE! TONE! Sounds fantastic, brother.

  • Man, now I feel about about writing off Silverface amps after trying two Twin Reverbs...apparently it's just the Twin that CBS ruined.

  • is this the first year of silverface?

  • @NintendoSinceBirth1 - That is correct!

  • Chime! Lovely.

  • sweet

  • Great Tone. I was able to duplicate it with my MiM Tele and a DRRI through a Duncan Vintage 54 in the bridge and a little delay

  • looks like a nashville tele but no middle pickup...?

  • @44eelz i think its a japanese tele that he customized himself, theirs a video on it

  • what kind of tele is that man?

  • Hey Twangman,

Great videos, love the Teleblaster, sweet piece o'wood. I know you like the tube amps, me too, but..... I recently picked up a

'65 Kustom amp and it really sounds nice with a Tele, and it's pedal friendly.

An added bonus is how damn cool the sparkle looks!. If you ever have a

occasion to play one you just might like it!( I like the early "Frankenstein" models) Fogerty used them in CCR. Tele's just spank through them.

Keep the vid's rolling! Savoy Brown??

  • What a cool looking and sounding guitar.

The binding on Teles gives it a great finishing touch.

    Check my Tele demo.

  • What kind of video camera are you using to record these vids?

They have great quality and just the right angle!

  • @marmelaki - My latest video is my first HD. The rest are standard DV on a five year old Panasonic.

  • well hell id like to buy sound check right there sounds so good

  • Luscious Tone, just the right amount of Spank

  • @NirradGann - This guitar through that amp is unreal!

  • what a swEET guitar !!!!

  • Hi MyTwangyGuitar,

You have a very easy way to show different styles, Thank you!

Question: Your Tele, is the neck C-shaped, I'm thinking about buying a Tele "Hallaway", can you tell me something about that one?

  • @godblessolbas - It's a 'Warmoth Fatback' that I shaved down. It's C shaped now.

  • Really enjoy your stuff. Can you tell me what kind of pickups are in your tele? Great Sound.

    Thanks,

    Ray

  • @1123stingray - Lindy Fralin 'Stock Tele'. I have a video called 'MyTwangyGuitar' that gives the lowdown on the entire guitar.

  • Excellent tone. ....as is all of your stuff. I had an old Twin and still have my 63 Princeton. Are there any 2-12 combo amps out there that you consider to have good tonal qualities ?

  • @MrMonteCarloRacing - That guitar through that amp is absolutely deadly.

I have a Twin Reverb reissue that sounds great. Lots of choices - endless. Pretty hard to get a bad sounding amp these days. I built a brownie Princeton from scratch. Great ballsy tone.

  • EXCELLENT sound,dude5/5*****&great playing!!*

  • I love your tele.

  • I've got that same amp. Gigged with it many years. Never let me down. Just redid everything on it. Beautiful.

  • MTG, great sounding tele and deluxe amp. Got a '65 reissue and just bought a Tele "Squire" w/rosewood fretboard. Doesn't sound bad. Seems easier to play than my '84 Am Tele w/maple fretboard. Wish you the best of luck...again ! !

    Tom/k1tl...

  • One of the things i like about this is that it sounds good and it is so simple,

    GREAT WORK!

  • @warrior5567 - That guitar through that amp is unreal. as good as it sounds here, you should hear it in the room. I use an amp simulator for my videos but nothing beats a tube amp.

You might recognize the tune as "What's So Funny..." by Elvis Costello. I recall I was waiting for my son while he was getting ready to buy something for his girlfriend.

I should do more of these. Thanks for posting.

  • @o0rickenbacker0o - Thank you. I know it's real basic here but it was more of a tone demo. Take care.

  • @o0rickenbacker0o - ebay for 1100.00 a couple years ago. All original, no mods and perfect stock tubes. Perfect condition. What a deal.

  • @o0rickenbacker0o - It's built into the amp.

  • I have that same shirt too ... What's going on here ? lol...

Did you do a Green River video yet ? It'd be nice thru the '68 Reverb

  • I'm probably the fattest - hah. I haven't done "Green River" yet. It would sound great, I agree!

  • I have the same shirt too- one of my all-time favorites as well as a Tele Parts-o-caster and a Mission Tweed. The similarity also ends there. (at the crossroads - I'm too chicken :(

  • MyTwangyGuitar is the best really like the camera angle on this one

  • What's So Funny Bout...!!! I love that song. I also have that EXACT same shirt!! I was going to mention that I also own a Telecaster, but after watching a couple of your vids, I think the similarity ends with the song and the shirt. Thanks for the music. You've got a new subscriber

  • Good call. Man, I think I've had this shirt for about 10 years, great quality.

I'm sure your playing is fine. My stuff is real basic but I polish it really well.

  • Your vids are awesome and so is your tone and skills!

  • VERY COOL5*****!!!!!

  • your camera is fantastic my friend

  • I love your playin dude - the crunge vid is inspirational

  • Welcome back. Love everything you do.

  • buddy you are hard to find: ) glad you're back!!!!
