Man I love your playing, I am 72 years old an it gave me back the passion to get my old fender out of the cobwebs & start again, keep up the good work ,love it
I have never heard such a sweet sound! The '68 Deluxe-Reverb really is something else. The Tele is just out of this world! You're pretty damn good too!!
MyTwangyGuitar your the best player i ever seen. I played along with my Squier Strat to your summertime blues video and it sounds remarkably the same as your Tele
Excellent tone. ....as is all of your stuff. I had an old Twin and still have my 63 Princeton. Are there any 2-12 combo amps out there that you consider to have good tonal qualities ?
I have a Twin Reverb reissue that sounds great. Lots of choices - endless. Pretty hard to get a bad sounding amp these days. I built a brownie Princeton from scratch. Great ballsy tone.
MTG, great sounding tele and deluxe amp. Got a '65 reissue and just bought a Tele "Squire" w/rosewood fretboard. Doesn't sound bad. Seems easier to play than my '84 Am Tele w/maple fretboard. Wish you the best of luck...again ! !
@warrior5567 - That guitar through that amp is unreal. as good as it sounds here, you should hear it in the room. I use an amp simulator for my videos but nothing beats a tube amp.
You might recognize the tune as "What's So Funny..." by Elvis Costello. I recall I was waiting for my son while he was getting ready to buy something for his girlfriend.
I have the same shirt too- one of my all-time favorites as well as a Tele Parts-o-caster and a Mission Tweed. The similarity also ends there. (at the crossroads - I'm too chicken :(
What's So Funny Bout...!!! I love that song. I also have that EXACT same shirt!! I was going to mention that I also own a Telecaster, but after watching a couple of your vids, I think the similarity ends with the song and the shirt. Thanks for the music. You've got a new subscriber
man, that is The Clean Sound. Never heard one like that.

Man, now I feel about about writing off Silverface amps after trying two Twin Reverbs...apparently it's just the Twin that CBS ruined.

Great Tone. I was able to duplicate it with my MiM Tele and a DRRI through a Duncan Vintage 54 in the bridge and a little delay

what kind of tele is that man?
Fendermadlewis 1 year ago
Hey Twangman,
Great videos, love the Teleblaster, sweet piece o'wood. I know you like the tube amps, me too, but..... I recently picked up a
'65 Kustom amp and it really sounds nice with a Tele, and it's pedal friendly.
An added bonus is how damn cool the sparkle looks!. If you ever have a
occasion to play one you just might like it!( I like the early "Frankenstein" models) Fogerty used them in CCR. Tele's just spank through them.
Keep the vid's rolling! Savoy Brown??

What a cool looking and sounding guitar.
The binding on Teles gives it a great finishing touch.
Check my Tele demo.

Hi MyTwangyGuitar,
You have a very easy way to show different styles, Thank you!
Question: Your Tele, is the neck C-shaped, I'm thinking about buying a Tele "Hallaway", can you tell me something about that one?
invino4u 2 years ago
@godblessolbas - It's a 'Warmoth Fatback' that I shaved down. It's C shaped now.
